NATHANIEL JONES

Nathaniel Jones of Cleveland, Ohio, is a Department Service Officer at the Cleveland Regional Office, a position that he has held since November 2006. As a DSO, he assists veterans with benefit counseling, filing claims and acts as their advocate in issues with government agencies.

Nate is a Vietnam era United States Air Force veteran where he served as an Air-Evacuation Medic and is currently a member of Post 888, Delaware, OH.

Nate is a graduate of Kaplan University, with Associates Degree/Applied Science in Criminal Justice.

Prior to joining the American Legion as a Department Service Officer, Nate retired after 17 years of service with Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners, where he was employed with Cuyahoga County Protective Services as a Patrolman, Training Commander, Firearms, and Law Enforcement Instructor, AED, CPR, and First Aid Instructor. 1st LT ARMY RESERVE, MEMBER OF SCOTISH RITE MASONS AND IMPROVED BENEVOLENT PROTECTIVE ORDER OF ELKS OF THE WORLD
