What is unique about the skills and abilities you will bring to our organization?
Current Whereabouts:
Continuing to teach at my alma mater in the areas of business and secondary education, speaking to Child-care Centers and elementary school classes on Black History; especially about the First Black Mayor of Holly Springs (my brother-in-law) and Ida B. Wells-Barnette, for whom our local museum is named for and which houses her memorabilia as well as that of the first Black Mayor of Holly Springs who played a significant role in the establishment of the Ida B. Wells-Barnette Museum in Holly Springs.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
To continue teaching and helping those who desire to enter the teaching profession be successful in passing the national examination required for teacher certification.

Being selected to Integrate the Teamster's Headquarters in Washington, D.C. as the first Black clerical worker in 1961.
Most Memorable Moment:
Singing in the Acappella Choir, Playing in the Marching Band, and serving as Private Secretary to the College President.
High School: Harris High School in Meridian, MS class of 1950
 
Activities & Accomplishments:
Choral Union and participating in the Home Economics Class learning to cook, sew, set tables, and competing at state Home Economics Events.
Best Memories:
Striving to become a stenographer by mastering the concepts of Gregg Shorthand, and serving as the Historian of my graduating class.
