My Interview Question
What is the most important thing in life to you?
Life & Professional Aspirations:
I find that one can learn what's most important about life from someone who is about to lose their own. I had a friend dying from cancer and by the time he was diagnosed, he had only weeks to live. I admired this guy, really calm, cool and collected and loved his family, his wife and several daughters. Took his wife to church EVERY Sunday for almost 50 years but never went in himself. Not sure if he ever felt he had done right by his God. He had heard the Word all of his life but never responded to it with any sense of haste. But in those last few weeks of his life he made most of his wishes known. One daughter was not to drive his car under any circumstance, for instance. But the thing he wanted most was the Holy Ghost. How do I know? He told us. He knew that he was destined to meet God on the other side and real soon and that frightened him I suppose. Some of the Saints from the church came to pray with him and tarry with him and he prayed as much as he could but his condition deteriorated rather quickly and he really could no longer speak. With what time he had left, I don't know if he got what he sought from God or not but it put things into focus for me. At life's end one sees what's really important. My friend knew that nothing he did for his family, his job or his community really meant that much compared to the things he stored up for eternity. He now knew that the things he had or had not done for God were the most important things he could have ever done in life. God did spare him though, he did not suffer some sudden tragic death like that of an accident or some other horrible event. God gave him time to think about his life and his positioning for the eternal. I hope he made it in but only he and God know for sure. For me, I aspire to be right with God so that when I meet Him, I'm ready. I hope that's the most important thing to me? I believe if that relationship is right, then everything else will be added unto me.

Best Memories:
I was "wild" back in the day. Had a LOT of fun cutting up and being a carefree teenager. Cut a lot of classes but was always on the honor roll. My mother and father never found out about the truancy because it was never reflected in my grades.
