Why am I late starting a career and what are my goals, 5 years, 10 years. beyond
"I am late starting my career because I spent many years battling mental illness. I grew up in an era where no one talked about the mind and the things going on inside the mind. I tried many ways to get my mind to quiet down enough for me to start and finish something (anything!) I started a reintegration project three years ago that included returning to school, becoming sustainable and regaining my health mentally. My goals include helping other mental health consumers obtain sustainability by sharing the success I am achieving using self-taught reintegration skills. As Founder and CEO of New FoundMinds a start-up non-profit, I am developing a well-rounded resourceful reintegration program that will support homeless ex-offender and veterans who are mental health consumers. "
