My name is Valna Jerome Campbell, Jr. That's Val as in Valentine and na as in NAY. I'm 24, an Instrumental Music Education major at Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL. I'm from Mobile. I graduated from S.S.("Still Second" to none) Murphy High School....Blue/Hue Gold/Old! Part of my musical arsenal is playing Gospel Piano for my home church, Singing a lil bit, playing trumpet, and F-Horn, and finally writing music. I've been blessed with the opportunity to be the Student Conductor/Arranger of the Alabama State University "Mighty Marching Hornets"

I like to cook, and of course EAT lol, watch movies, talk on the phone, and meet new people. Not necessarily in that order.....We can meet, talk on the phone, I can cook, we can eat, then watch the movie. lol I don't think of myself as being a flamboyant person. Kinda laid back, for the most part.

I wish to become one of the most prominent African-American teachers, composers, song writers, and musicians over all.

Right now I'm devoted to my education, spiritual well-being, and being a hard-working member/co-founder of the Alpha Delta Psi, Alabama Bandsmen Fraternity...Ace 8 Ace 9!!!! Been BEASTIN since before inception!!!! Oh yeah....I like using FOUR exClamation marks!!!! lol Also a "living legend"/retired memeber of the Mighty Marching Hornets; to whom I'd like to give a big SNAP!!!! SNAP!!!! DRIVEEEEE!!!! and a Hey CREAM!!!! to all my Bruhs. C.O.T.C. Baby!!!! It's a C.R.E.A.M. Thang, you wouldn't understand. Keepin it real is the best way to go in ALL aspects of life.
Most Memorable Moment:
My most memorable College moments would DEFINATELY have to be kickin it with all my bruhs and family on all the trips, at all rehearsals, in all games, during all parades, on hotel stays, and money I got paid by being a member of the Mighty Marching Hornets of Alabama State University. Most notable trip: Appearing on the Ellen Degeneres show in Feb 2007. The BEST TRIP EVER!!!!.....

Activities & Accomplishments:
Marching, Jazz, Symphonic, pep band. I was drum major for two years. Two of my best accomplishments are making a 99/100 at our Marching contest as a drum major,(A VERY big deal in Corps style marchi
Best Memories:
My best high school memory was spending my 16th birthday in Dubin, Ireland when our band went to march in the St. Patricks day parade. What started out as a pep rally to recognize our tour guides and drivers, ended up as a surprise party for me and a friend of mine who shared the same birthday.
