Q&A With Minister Celeste Kelley

What book have you read that changed your life?
"The Power of Praise & Worship by Terry Law. My father in the ministry, Dr. James L. Morman, assigned me the book to read in preparing for the transition from devotion to praise & worship in 1994, and it literally transformed my life and me. Knowing that praise & worship is a lifestyle in Kingdom living was something I had no knowledge about, and since then, it has catapulted me to an intimacy with God that ultimately led me to answering His call on my life to be one of His women to deliver His word and begin and The SISTAHS Ministry, years later.

Another book that has changed my life, not to sound vain, is "Sister Girl... It's Not That Serious" - not because the Lord allowed me to pen it myself, but because I never aspired to do it and wrote all the way to the end without going back to read anything it was completely done. I never knew the things in the book were inside of me. So writing the first book has changed my life, even moreso than the second."

What is your passion?
"Blessing the lives of our women and teen girls who are victims of domestic violence and teen mothers, as well as single mothers. While women as a whole is my ministry, the Lord is focusing me in this area. I am very passionate about sharing with our single women the importance and self-respect through their attitude, their appearance, and most importantly their faith and trust in the Lord. I am able to embrace my passion at www.TheSISTAHSMinistry.org where we have a growing Women's Ministry for women and teens. The Lord has also allowed me to be a journalistic blessing to our women through authoring two books in a series: The "Sister Girl..." Series (www.SisterGirlSeries.com), and I'm currently working on the third of the series. I love to help others through marketing and publicity through PraizPR (www.PraizPR.com) where I host a radio show "Write The Vision" heard on 88.1 FM WHPR in Detroit (streaming online at www.tv33whpr.com) on Mondays at 5:30 PM EST and podcasted online at www.BlogTalkRadio.com/Write-The-Vision."
