J. LaMiracle Rogers, noted fashion consultant and
Fashionista has worked on several projects around
the Atlanta area, sharing her style sense to all whom
she encounters. She is a current freelance stylist, that
specializes in creating fresh images to new music
artists and to the general public. Born and raised as
an only child in Savannah,Ga., LaMiracle grew up
and learned how to love different types of foods and cultures. As a result that grew into a love of art, creativity, and expanded to fashion. Her genuine passions for fashion started at the tender age of 10 when she learned how to hand sew by just watching her grandmother. She didn’t know that she was surrounded by a legacy of tailors and seamstresses on both sides of her rich family tree. By the age of 14 LaMiracle had ended in her doll clothes making stages and entered into her hair extension experimentation phase. This then transformed into reinventing her clothes with the help of scissors and a sewing machine. At the age of 18 she looked at one sketch book of many and decided to finally pursue her dream as a fashion designer. Little did she know would her parents (both teachers) disagree and lead her into a path of what they called “a stable job” With Great goals destroyed, In May 2005 LaMiracle received a Bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from Paine College in Augusta,GA. Even though her dreams were put on hold they were not forgotten. LaMiracle was known as the fashion Diva on campus and would often give advice to other fashion deprived individuals. She states “ On late club nights girls swarmed into my room for approval of outfit selection or repair!” .LaMiracle didn’t mind but, when she continuously was put in leadership positions in her sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the campus fashion shows she realized that the change had to be made. After six months of working as a Children’s group counselor in her hometown, LaMiracle fled, on just her savings, to Atlanta,GA. In April 2006 she enrolled at American Intercontinental University and will be graduating in June 2009 with a degree in Fashion Design. Her current aspirations are to launch her own clothing line and to become internationally known by all, stating that it is all about “Releasing the inner Diva in You” To help empower other’ s in the aspects of finances and business preparations, LaMiracle has currently joined World Financial Group as an Associate.
