Q&A With Kimberly Watkins

(interview me)
Kimberly Watkins
Home Coordinator, Woodhaven Learning Center

Location: Columbia, MO United States
Joined: Jul 26th, 2008
About   (request update)
I completed my BA in Sociology with minors in Women's Studies and Psychology.

I laugh to myself that I am a minority six times over. I count each thing as a blessing as these aspects have caused me to be very open-minded, non-judgmental and extremely tolerant of others.

I have dreams and aspirations far outside of the things involving my current profession or education.
My Interview Question
Do you understand the difference between surviving and thriving?
Current Whereabouts:
My current hobbies and interests are reading lots of non-fiction, fiction, advocacy, Africa American books, reading manga, watching anime, researching various subjects including African American issues and religion, composing poems, listening to and singing music.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
Although I have worked in the healthcare/advocacy field for many years, I continue to search for a job that speaks more broadly to the advocate in me. My dream job would involve advocacy for a larger set of individuals without a voice, and who suffer injustice and inequality.

God bless you and I hope that you are having a great day. I was listening to this musical tribute to Maya Angelou. It was very touching and I thought that I would share it with you. This is the link. Share it with a friend. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6KbhUa9YwaY Also, if you get a chance visit my profile and view some information about my daughter that might interest you.
