There are several things that make me special:

1. I have a passion for reading and writing. (poetry, stories, raps)
2. I love journalism and am intrigued by the entire political process .
3. Both of my parents were military so we've traveled more than the average family so I adapt easily to change.
4. I was raised in Hawaii and lived there for 5 years so I developed an open mind and appreciation for diverse cultures.
5. I'm of mixed-heritage so I have the ability to "blend in" and get along with any and everyone, regardless of their differences.

My Interview Question

What is campus life like in comparison to non-hbcu's?

Current Whereabouts:

I am a socially and politically conscious rapper. After becoming frustrated by a lack of positive and enlightened rap and hip-hop music, I took-on the name A.K.A. The Academic (African Korean American), in reference to my mixed heritage (my biological-father is half-Korean) and began seriously pursuing a rap career. My first official song, entitled “For Humanity’s Sake©”, demonstrates my coherence of thought and keen observation of society. From beginning to end, the lyrics command attention to serious issues of today, with references to, war, racism and the ills of reality TV and the media as a whole. I currently perform at several local clubs, cafe's and coffee houses at open mic events to expand my fan base.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

I am interested in pursuing higher education in Political Science, Engineering or Journalism. I also plan to continue my journey to bring intelligence and sanity to hip-hop music.
