Q&A With Danny & Laverne Brown

How involved should God be in your vote?
"I believe that prayer and supplication is to be considered before voting. As believers, we know that God is Sovereign and he instructs us to pray for all men everywhere as well as pray for those that lead our country ..local or national. When voting, we should consider the fact of God's Sovereignty, his permissive will and his perfect will. When we vote, it should not be a "fleecing" to get a decision from God, but depending on a "weighing" of character and "unction of spirit." We choose to be democrat and we choose to be republican. We also choose to be "other" .... In that case, when we vote, we should have peace in knowing that all things are predetermined by God. Whether we are voting for presidents, vp, senators, or civil laws, we should consider the word of the Lord in our choices and pray as we make selections. Even if I vote and my choices are not confirmed, my trust remains in the Lord.......his Sovereignty will always be intact. "

About   (request update)
We all come from a long ways. What makes us special is the Awesome Testimony the Lord has given us and our passion to see lives transformed. The Lord allowed us to meet in college and of all classes "Anthropology". Shortly after we starting dating and cohabitating and got out of the will of God, I (Laverne) discovered D.J.'s long nights were not with women, but he was addicted to cocaine. It was a roller-coaster and changed us into totally different people. The drug addiction devestated our lives. However, after much trial and tribulation, the Lord led me (Laverne) to a surrender and ultimately D.J. was delivered from drugs and his conversion took place in the drug house. This testimony has been scripted into a dynamic stage play. The Lord has directed our steps and we Pastor a spirit-filled church. Just recently, we were elected to the Board of a well known community Substance Abuse Recovery program. We are planning a tour for this play and are expecting for lives to be changed.

On another note, we are the Owners of Xtremity Entertainment and CEOs of Crosspoint Life Groups for Substance Abusers as well as their Codependents. Often times, the abuser receives recovery services and the family members who have been damaged are in need of recovery as well. So much happens to the family when a person is on drugs and children are overlooked as well. Our focus is to bring healing to the entire family. We have established a social network www.nomo.connectplatform.com for individuals to join and help us get to the people we need to touch. Substance abuse is a problem for an individual, but epidemic globally. If each one reaches one with prevention or intervention, we can all make a difference. Utilizing the arts, media, entertainment, spiritual impartation and prayer is a combination that will impact lives.

Another special thing is we play our own characters in the Stage Play. It was so intense at one rehearsal, that D.J. thought I was trying to hurt him....funny thing is I think I did...something rose up in me. God help us....(LOL)
