Helped to establish Spark 1, a student organization that sought to positively impact the youth of the Hampton Roads community. The organization spread to Clark College through founder Asheena McNeil.
Most Memorable Moment:
Protesting Censorship of our student paper by the HU Administration Joining the Soul Students, a golden-age hip hop preservation collective Break dancing Presenting a written document at a conference through the HU English Department. Serving as an Editor of The Saracen, a student literary jouranal Being asked to present poetry at various events sponsored by the English / Creative Writing department. Representing my department in South Dakota for a collaborative Health expereince with Black Hills St. University. Reading Roots Learning about cultural rituals and styles of black students from across the country. Discussing ideas of God/ Spirituality with a wide variety of students Learning about social order and social conditioning. Sharing meals with friends on the beautiful Hampton University waterfront. Defining who I am, what I believe, what I want to achieve in life, and the kinds of people who I love to be around and associate with.
