About (request update)

My name is Joanes Edouard Jr. I attended Queen Borough Community as an English major and business management. My passion for writing evolved in my collegiate years where I started writing columns on minority students and their success after graduating from (QBC) for the college newspaper. Today I'm the self-published author of my first novel 'The Blacksmith Trilogy' (crime-fiction). My book debuted last year at the New York Book Expo in Jacob Javitz Center, where I met the world in literary. Since then I have attended numerous events and conventions such as the New York Comic Con where I pitched my novel to directors Frank Miller, Guerlermo Del Toro, Louis Leterrier and Timur Bekmambetov for film opportunities. To up the ante, I have camped outside Sony studios on occasion to meet anyone willing to read my work for a film opportunity. I have done marketing at The Scholastic Book Fair, Sweet Auburn Fest, Harlem Book Fair and the Hollywood Book Fest for publishing and distribution opportunities. I wanted to do the Frankfurt Book Fair but I would first like to be published by a major before I can get my novel translated in other countries worldwide. I have written countless query letters to different agents in the Writers Market. But no one will take on my project. I have sent countless submissions letters to the majors from Simon & Shuster to Kensington Books. But still no one has given me a shot. To date I have written eight novels which are ready to be publish including the sequels to my current novel. I have sold fifteen hundred copies independently non-traditionally. Im not looking to make headlines just history. Presently Im in the early stages of making a comic based on my novel. Im about to release the sequel The Black Widow this October. Last but not least im working on my first indie film but im looking for investors to finance the projetc. So hopefully I will see the fruits of my labor.
