What book have you read that changed your life?
"Handle with Prayer by Charles Stanley. At a time in my life when I thought I didn't have the ability to even seek God, I found this book. Not only did I find it but was asked to help teach a class based on it. Wow, it was like God was saying no matter how devasting life can be...just look up! It turned my pain into gain, and brought a new understanding of communicating with God and others. Out of my study and teaching of the principles of that book, my book was birthed." Determined to see God and to lead others to Him she is a daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend whose true love for the people of God motivates her to be in continuous study of His word. Studying God’s word is her means for knowing what God would have for her and those around her. She believes in going in and possessing the promises of God. Through every mistake, trial and tribulation she understands that repentance, and determination are key to being the woman that God desires her to be.

The Founder/Director of Rueben’s Clean and Sober Living, a California Non-Profit Corporation, formed for women who need a place to live in a Clean & Sober Housing environment. To assist in finding transition points for women who need a home after completing a residential treatment program and who are looking for their own housing. She continues to find herself seeking new ways to help women who have gotten off track. An executive officer for Angel's Acres Outreach Ministry, she aids in the development of new outreach programs to help underprivileged women and children.

Her debut book Sanctified H.O.T.T.I.E. Holy, Obedient, Teachable, True, Inspiring Excellence, was written after coming to understand that if our lives are predestined before birth so are our personalities. If a woman is a Diva or HOTTIE in the womb then God enhances that personality with holiness and uses it for uplifting of the kingdom. Sanctified H.O.T.T.I.E. is an inspirational book that promotes a positive body image for women without having to compromise religious beliefs or morals.

Damita currently resides in the Dallas, Texas with her children. She remains grateful to all who have helped shape her Christian walk.
