Tell me about yourself ?
"Currently living in Portland, Oregon I have 12 years in finance and 8 of its term in housing. Today, our group - Preston's Community Outreach Group, Inc is working to establish a platform of access and equality for African American and minority families. Our goal is to move the visual perception of the environments sense of progressiveness to a more realistic racial and economical status - for all! We have several community festival and fairs to head up this year; as the entertainment contractor and stage developer. It is our interest to reach out to multiple families and resources over six (6) states throughout the season - Canada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and N California. "There is one word that justifies his action(s): PROGRESSIVE; and three words that justifies his position in my home: "HE'S MY PRESIDENT!"" Interviewed by Donald Thornton 12/20/10

What will you do to make an impact in this world?

"What most do not understand is how or why I believe it's necessary to have friends and common relationships all over the world; as I do! What are you doing today to support your community and its educational and economical growth? Yet, do you love where you are currently living and you

Current Whereabouts:

Currently, I have been working on several community outreach programs within N/NE Portland OR. based upon College Scholarship Fund Raising. and Home Ownership Awareness. After involvement in a few different relationship with government funded programs relative to diversity, gentrification educational and economical awareness resource programs: The Prince Hall Masonic Lodge of Oregon began working on there individual Non-Profit 501 c3 charter; as I to were developing a structure for my own community servicing unit. It is looking good that this road was paved in mid 2008; and now is shaping up.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

After several years in the Automotive industry; sales, sales management it became apparent to me that the best thing to sale was whom I (Calvin) is and that very appreciation of ethic's and class. With that I have set out to build a Mortgage Brokerage Firm that will be the only store front owned by an African American in Portland. Along with that; yet, in my middle-hour(s) of life try to give back to the two communities (Gary, Ind. and N/NE Portland, Or which had its greatest influence upon who I am today. In that, if I can help one (1) great family and speak to multiple displaced father(s) to just get them headed down the right road I will achieve accomplishment at the highest levels.

Best Memories:

Just like most young black men, we tend to out do ourself... Being from a split family it allowed me to travel back and forth so I picked up quite a few more friends over the course of my high school years that today are still apart of my life. I remember most the spanking I got from my best friends Dad; for not getting done what he had instructed. Then I went home and told my parents and got a few more swats for not listening too Mr Brooks...
