I am an Oprah Winfrey protege from Baltimore, Maryland. Oprah and I began our television careers at the same network affiliate station WJZ-TV. While Oprah was busy doing her thing on "People Are Talking" I was busy creating the first black "Dynasty" nighttime soap opera series along with my wife and partner Renee'. The first pilot episode was produced at WJZ-TV in 1983. The second one-hour pilot episode was showcased on the channel on January 12, 1991. I also worked as the topical producer for the newly nationally syndicated Oprah Winfrey show from 1986-1990.
