About   (request update)
Who am I?
I was born on January 31, 1991 in Atlanta, Georgia. I still live in Atlanta, Georgia, and I go to school at Booker T. Washington High School. I live with my mom, who is a single parent, Denetris Rush. My name is Monterius Santrez Rush. I started school when I was six-years-old. I went to kindergarten at Alfred Blalock Elementary. From first grade until fifth grade I attended Lucus Oliver Kimberly Elementary and while I was there, I won an award for perfect attendance. I also won an award for honor roll all four terms. Then I attended Jean Childs Young Middle School, and there I also won a couple of awards: one for perfect attendance and two for being named Student of the Year; one in sixth grade and the other in eighth grade. I am now a senior at Booker T. Washington High School. I plan on finishing school and going to a 4 year university or college or either a 2 year community college.
What life means to me.
Life to me means friends and family who you can trust and who trusts you. I am pretty much on the happy side of life, but like all teens I do I have my "days of." That means I do have some sad days or depressed days. I have a few friends here that sort of look out for me and when I am having a bad day, I have someone here at school to talk to. I make my school days go by thinking of either the next hour or what I will do when I get home or on the weekend. I'm not seeing anyone now but when I did have a girlfriend, our favorite places to go were the movies and out to dinner. Sometimes we went bowling. Only once we went to an amusement park: Six Flags over Georgia. We were together for some months and then we broke-up; so no, I don't think it was forever.
What's my outlook on the future?
The year 2019 will make ten years since I graduated from high school. I think I will probably be still living here in Atlanta. I will be quite comfortable with my living situation. As I said in the beginning, I was born here in Atlanta, GA. I've lived here my whole life. I would like to see more of the USA but unfortunately as of right now, I don't have any money to leave Georgia to go anywhere. I hope you have enjoyed reading my life story as much as I have enjoyed writing it for you.

Life & Professional Aspirations:
My name is Monterius Rush I am 17 years old and I attend Booker T. Washington High School. I am just myself, and don't care what anyone else thinks about me, so I don't panic, and try to be somebody I am not. Setting goals are very important. Most short-term goals, lead to long-term goals. Long-term goals will almost always have an affect on your future. That's why you should also plan your long-term goals to fit your personal needs for in the future. But anyway you look at it; the goals you plan and set now will have an affect on your future and may determine it. Growing up in a humble family in which subsistence was a challenge, I learned early in life to work hard and be persistent. As I lived with a single parent and seen some her struggles, I decided to paint the picture I desired for myself on the canvass of life. Consequently, I am working hard to become one the best performing student in my class. Short-term goals are important even thought the only will take about 6-12 months to accomplish, and wont have a long-term affect, thought sometimes they may. One short-term goal that I do have this year is to do better in all my subjects in school this year. I currently have a 3.5. So if I can keep my grades up this year that would make me feel better. This will help me get into a better college. I would also like to try and hold at least a 3.6 GPA for this year. The second short-term one is to graduate from high school Long-term goals take a lot longer than short-term goals to accomplish and the outcome will have a greater affect in you. I have a few of them myself. My first one, I plan on working on a lot, and that is to become a Vocal Coach. I love to sing, and I hope that it gets me somewhere in life. I want to continue on to college and be in the chorus or gospel choir. Another one is to get into a good college to major in Business Management and a minor in Music. If being a singer doesn't work, I would like to have a job that has to do with working in a bank. I am very good with working with money, and I also never miscount money that I come in contact with. My last is to win my first Grammy Award, this is the hardest goal that I have, but I don't think it's impossible. It's something that I have wanted since I’ve seen some of my favorite performers win some. I have set many goals for me, which I have already started on trying to reach. I want to be very comfortable money wise. If that happens I will be very pleased. I also want a family, which includes a wife and kids. In conclusion, it is important to set goals for a successful future. Short-term goals can and will have an impact on your future. Long-term goals will pretty much determine you future. And both are important to meet your personal needs. Every goal that you set should and will have an affect on your future.
