Q&A With Ernest Sonnenberg

What defines a real conversation of integrity?
"Approach people with humility, say what you mean and mean what you say. Mix that with respect, assertiveness, sensitivity and the understanding that we live in an imperfect world where most people always want to look and sound intelligent and be right or blame others for their mistakes. Listen to a differing opinion and make allowances for others."

What do you really want out of life?
"I think that's the million dollar question, yet money can't truly buy the answer. In my opinion, the answer inevitably lies within. And like sex, money should be the end result of some process. The answer to the question needs to start with who am I really on the inside? Do I know the me on the inside. Are the inward and outward in harmony? It takes a fine line of sitting down with myself, facing myself in the mirror and now through a process of elimination determine what is it that would make me happy. After all all we do want to be happy with what we can get out of life, don't we?"

Do You Believe that with God All Things Are Possible?
"Yes, I do.There is experiential knowledge which to me means that without a shadow of a doubt God will come through for me, becuase He has proven Himself faithful time and again. Even if God comes through on His time. Even when he comes through with His own answer to my requests, I still believe all things are possible with God. Then, in my opinion, there is knowledge just based on what I heard or read in books, void of the Spirit. When the Word lines up with the Spirit and performs God's will in any situation then I know that I know all things are possible."

How do you make a total stranger a friend?
"Show a stranger that your are to be trusted and very dependable, that you are fun to be around with and have a sense of humor, that your talk matches your walk and that you won't be judgemental. Strangers like to know about our off moments. Show a real interest in the stranger with regard to personal challenges, family background, aspirations and highs and lows."

Why are you here?
"I am here to make a difference. I am here because I am the difference. I am here to be a friend and a support to others. To at times be in the wings and to be up front at other times. I am here to add fragrance, friendship and flavor to many a life. I am here because I need others. I am here because the influence and help of others in my life have brought me here. I am here....."
