Tears For A New Day

It's like an abused spouse or child that suddenly sees the clearing and cannot believe that they can run out of the closet, take off the chains. That one day they can look at the oppressor and say " I survived it all." The disenfranchisement. The marginalization. The incarceration. This healing goes both ways. A few people only know what Barack Obama represents in my personal life. He was part of the answer that I was searching for in my quest to have all cultures respect and understand each other WHILE LOVING YOUR OWN. That was my mission statement when I decided that anthropology would be my life's goal. Not a career, nor profession but the application of it as it relates to modern times. A forever study. Here is someone who understands the struggle. He is a human, he is Black, He is White, he is man, he is an American. He can lead us to out of this hyphenated madness. We are one people struggling against principalities and powers. Against a domination by a people who have by the color of their skin decided to crowned themselves Kings Cry and let the pain out that we carry in our genes from watching and being victimized by man's inhumanity to man, then get ready put your boots on and steel yourself to walk through some deep you know what. Understand what he is saying, he NEEDS us to help him. He cannot do it alone. He is not God. The time has come. I hope every Black man in America and in the Colonized countries wakes up on November 5th and says "it was all a lie" I can, yes I can. We as Black women have held up our brothers for too long. Black men Stand up!! Their lack of self acknowledgement and confusion has led them to mistreat the soldiers that have stood by their side. It is a psychological attack whose intent was to cull that response. Keep the Black man down and let their women rise. Women the weaker sex. A quote: from an anti-feminist brother. Yet, black women didn't realize that Barack Obama would rise up in 2008 to crush their forty years of Feminist lies!!!"""" (we have been helping but you abused us. Pimped us.And sold us to the corporate white man as video vixens. Then it became a competition for jobs, wealth, beauty and somewhere after pursuing the freedoms that their sisters appeared to have only a few Black men remembered to honor their sisters/mothers/grandmothers. (See Newsweek, March 2003) foto insert. Lots of healing going on. Ebonics can become a second language. As I have always maintained. Those of us that are bi-lingual understand this concept well. Young men will listen to his speech and eloquence and imitate that. They will look at how he treats his family and imitate that. They will see how he stands up to the so called "mighty" and imitate that. They will see he struggled to get his schooling and imitate that. That he has traveled. That he has a BLACK woman by his side and imitate that. You don't need a white woman to become CEO. As by bff says "Come on , now!" Your mom was right Irma. According to financial "experts" a recession cannot be determined until a depression hits..like Alzheimer's that cannot be diagnosed until after death. Go figure.

Marta,I have put those 'boots' on...and have moved on to 2016 as 2012 will not be enough for the American citizen.why, because the last president to pull this country out of a depression this country tried to change the Constitution and have him run for a third time.I remember my mother-in-law use to say, "resession was only a fancy way to say depression". As, November 5 is going to be a dream then why not dream big.
