Barack is In - What's Next for Race Relations In This Country?

Posted By: melba thomas on November 07, 2008 Now that Barack Obama has won the battle for the presidency, what will it mean for race relations in this country? Will America have to put aside all of the unreasonable opinions and prejudices and out-and-out racist ideas and start to view itself as finally united? Will we begin to view each other individually --not as black people and white people, but as Americans? This is a question that was asked on Black Spin. Now if you want to know how you can improve race relations inside of our nation, society and our communities, then you need to get a copy of my book Racial Slurs & Discrimination is it real or imaginary. Inside of the book there is a message and if you are able to find the message then you will be able to know the solution to building a better race relation. This is not just for Barack to do it’s for every one of us. A lot of racial barriers have been torn down, but there are still some mountains we must climb. Discrimination is a double headed coin. One can’t just see one side and not look at the other side. Am I doing all that I can to improve our race relations is the question that we should ask ourselves or am I still dwelling on the past. Am I stuck? People the world is changing, become part of the solution and not the problem.
