NCAA Internship Program now accepting applicatio

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on November 13, 2008 The NCAA offers one-year internships at its national office in Indianapolis, Indiana, providing on-the-job learning experiences for college graduates from a four-year NCAA member institution who express an interest in pursuing a career in the administration of intercollegiate athletics. These are paid, 12-month positions. This is a post-graduate internship program. The areas of the NCAA that offer intern positions are administrative services; branding and communications: brand strategies and events, public and media relations, publishing/new media; championships; corporate and broadcast alliances; Division I men's and women's basketball; diversity and inclusion; education services; enforcement services; governance; membership services/student- athlete reinstatement, and the NCAA Eligibility Center. Applicants are able to request their top three areas of interest in which they prefer to serve. Group specific explanations and job descriptions are provided online at the attached link below. Only complete applications submitted through the online system will be accepted. The application cycle for the 2009-10 internship program is open now through December 5, 2008. Program Timeline: 1. Application deadline - December 5, 2008. 2. Endorser deadline - December 7, 2008. 3. National office review and selection process - January 2009. 4. Interview process - February 2009. 5. Selection of 19 candidates - February/March 2009. 6. House hunting trip for selected candidates - April 2009. 7. New intern class begins - late summer 2009.
