Advance your career with EMBARQ today! Tier: Career Professional The VOIP Product Manager is responsible for managing the full life cycle of VOIP Products/Product lines for Embarq Business Markets. This individual will not only manage the process and provide the recommendation of the direction of the projects; but also manage the Marketing, Sales, and Analysis of the Data. Do you have experience in achieving Revenue and Margin Goals as well as meeting goal expectations to ensure a favorable Profit and Loss outcome in your current or previous position? How about creating specific road maps of VOIP Products by working with your peers in Product Development? If so, then read on! Responsibilities also include the development of designs related to the Embarq Broadsoft application system. These designs will include introduction of Centrex integration, and more scalable supportable upgrade procedures. The engineer in this position will be required to work with the vendor and the VoIP engineering team to develop features (software and hardware) to meet the needs of the Embarq Business VoIP offering. In addition, the engineer will be responsible for the communication of these designs to the certification lab, the IT teams that support Broadsoft-related systems, and to the field support teams. You must have a sense of urgency to develop and introduce new VOIP and Data Product lines successfully in the new and existing territory markets. You will be setting the company's Marketing and Product Strategy so previous experience is required in those areas. Directing the technical cooperation, partnerships, and OEM relationships consisting of other leading vendors is a daily activity. Your Strategic Market Planning and Product Management activities, Market and Competitive Analysis, Commercialization of new products, business and partnership development experience must be up to date with the newest technologies. Experience in your latest career should include Marketing, Product Development, Marketing Material Development, Business Development and Supervision of Product Management, and Technical Writing functions. Telecommunication Industry and Marketing experience with an emphasis of Telephony, IP Centrex, IP trunking and Data Communication is preferred. Recent Consumer Operations experience in either Retail or Consumer Four year degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar field) or 5 or more years of work experience related to voice and/or Voice over IP technology Excellent knowledge of key VoIP protocols such as Session Initiation, IP Centrex, IP trunking etc. Knowledge of Broadsoft platform - including system architecture and hands on operation. Industry certification in VoIP technology Experience in researching and analyzing VOIP or Data Technologies to identify current trends and new opportunities. Strong communication skills and matrix management with a proven track record of delivering results Proven knowledge, understanding, and experience in promoting products. Proven knowledge and experience in VOIP and Data Protocols Strong planning, organizing, attention to detail, and follow-up skills Ability to motivate others to market and sell products Strong vendor management and client relation skills Be an integral part of the action and grow with us as we lead the communications industry into the future.
