Spring 2009 Internship Program - Marketing and Sales

Posted By: Jehan Bunch on November 20, 2008 Job Description: This Spring 2009 Semester, SIRIUS XM RADIO WANTS YOU! We are currently offering internships within our Advertising Sales and Marketing departments. Advertising Sales: The Advertising Sales Department is responsible for selling advertising space on all of the talk programming and sports programming channels. Interns will support the Advertising Sales Team with day to day activities while having the opportunity to shadow a successful sales team. Tasks include market research, fact checking/proofreading, supporting contest programs, creating media lists and presentations, and attending sales calls at offsite client offices. Marketing: The Marketing Departments are responsible for all marketing initiatives and include areas such as Direct to Consumer Marketing, Acquisitions Marketing, Customer Retention Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Brand Marketing - Music. Interns will directly support one of the marketing departments with day to day operations. Tasks can include, but are not limited to, best-in-class research, weekly/monthly reporting and analysis, development of marketing partnerships, on-line marketing initiatives, and other special projects. Day to day responsibilities may vary depending on the marketing department. Please note regarding all SIRIUS internships: - You must be 18 years of age or older. - Internships require an applicant to receive academic credit for the internship - it is the applicant's responsibility to set up the internship with their school. - All positions are unpaid, and SIRIUS does not provide for transportation reimbursement costs. - Please do not call SIRIUS. Qualified applicants will be contacted. Timeline: The spring program begins on February 2, 2009 and runs through May 16, 2009.
