THE BLACK FACELESS DOLL

THE BLACK FACELESS DOLL
Posted By: Min.Dr.LaDonna Blaylock D.D. on December 04, 2008

Can you imagine what life must have been like for the Black Female slave child to have received a doll, a baby doll without a face ? Was her doll a reflection of herself as it's mother ? These dolls were deliberately given to them during slavery here in America, which had a profound impact behind it's significance.
Its target ? The Black Female Slave.
Recently, I wrote a blog regarding, "Why Little Black Girls Still Desire White Baby Dolls", and how society down plays the beauty of the Black American Goddess.
How at an early age, Black girls are introduced to the world of beauty, not through their eyes, but view it through a world that lowers their self-esteem by telling them that to be beautiful you have to be white.
Ninety percent of the women on television today are White, blonde, and blue eyed females displaying beauty,( society's definition of beauty), in every area of femininity.
From Victoria Secrets to beauty pageants, true female beauty blackness, is out-numbered twenty to one on all levels imaginable.

This has always existed, since the invention of television, this ratio has never been a mystery within the black community.
I remember back in the day, seeing a black person on television or on the big screen, was a major event. It made us feel equal, it made us feel good to see ourselves.

But what was life like, or must have been like for the little Black slave girl who recieved a doll like this from her "Massa", or someone that didn't have an identity themselves ?
While White females flaunted a lucullan lifestyle, what image of self did this "Black Child of the Most High", harbor in her innocent soul ?
If I had been there to comfort her, these are the words I would use to convey to her:
Shrine Worthy Goddess of Unequaled Coolness,
Crown Princess of Stunning, yet Approachable Perfection,
High Priestess of Unbearably, Enviable Youthful Gorgeousness ! I love you !
(Goddess,..... I give YOU these words today) !
Let us restore the lost voices of the Enslaved African American Woman through Enlightenment !
Happy "Forthcoming Kwanzaa"
Peace,
Doc

Thank You Brother !
These were seeds that were planted within the Black American Woman's psyche for hundreds of years, she needs to be aware that she is Goddess of the Universe, Queen and True Mother of Civilization.
Her time is now, to wake up from the destructive sleeping pills she was given, and reclaim her own and begin to take her rightful place in this world.
Peace.

A Doll? Minister Dr. DD

A Slave American Woman should be aware that a REAL Slave Girl was given REAL dolls by Master. And Master sold these REAL dolls, Slave Girls children to his Christian brother so that his brother could repeat this process.

Slave Woman keep your pills get rid of Masters way.

Your're welcome Beloved. This was one of many things that was done to us, so when we did receive a so called beautiful doll of another race, other than ourselves, we came to appreciate that verses accepting our own.
We should be made aware of a lot of things brother!
Some of us have and some of us don't.
It is our responsibility, the few that have it, to enlighten others.
The after- effects of a sleeping pill ,is to assume an appointed time to WAKE- UP !
So yes, a doll, why not ?
You, I'm sure could offer other processes and methods that were used by White Supremacy, and it's your choice to do so.
My choice is to feed many, a little at a time.
Your method is yours.
Peace

Yes, My Sister I understand completely but let me give you comfort and shed some additional light.
Because of who we are,... hair, wigs, nails body ornaments, and jewelry originally was our fortay in the anciently.
We had set the platform originally regarding beauty, for every woman in every cultural since the very beginning.
In order for us to be acceptable and fit into society, we had to contine to adapt to society's images of us and model after it's prospectives.
There was a time where braids were not allowed in the workplace ,(not to long ago), now everyone wants and wears them including men.
So you see Sister, everyone wants to be the Black Woman except the Black Woman, and most of us don't have a clue as to who we really are.
Thanks very much for your comment !
Peace, Doc.

P.S.,
Chemicals were not meant for us.
Years of this can effect the cells in your brain and body.
As far as our hair, it actually is the most delicate hair on the planet.
It truely is your crown and glory !

Yeah, I remember when people chose light skin people with what they would say, had "good Hair, verses dark skin with nappy or so called "bad hair". If you wanted your kids to turn out with certain attributes.
Its amazing how much we were messed up and still are with that.
People don't want to admit it, but it was and still is true.
