This is “Yo Little Southern Belle, MIISRAEL.” Showly you anin’t forgotten me, it’s only been bout a since week you’ wus hear.. “I gets to tell you and all yo’ chaps and yo’ famlee “Merrie Christmas Well, all right ….I’is mixng up some “Tee cakes” to serve you . What’s that you say? You neber heard of “Tee cakes?…” Naw, they anin’t made from tea. But’ I’ll give you duh recipee so you makes you some of yo own. .. So, lets us get on wit it! ….You’s gone need to pack a bag or two, if you’s g’wine home for Christmas. Put these thangs in yo’ bags…Flour, or some cake flour, sugar, pure vanilla or em’ination, some baking powder, butter or margarine, milk and some eggs.. Hay! Go easy wit them eggs… You’s readee …So let’s get goin..… “Mozell, put dat "lil" chick back. "It is a cutee though, just hatched!" * YALL’S AT HOME FO’ CHRISTMAS VERSE I * It’s the day befo Christmas eve… Let’s all get ‘aboard.., if you please! Every body load yo’ self on any one of theses: Thar’s planes, cars, taxies, buses and trains.. “UFO’s”Well that’s strange… all ready to carry ya’ll home…. The mouses and rodents will miss you whiles you’s gone.. They is being left behind…. "Leave them a few "lil" crumbs to eat this thime?" Go ‘head It’s Chrismus’…… you can be kind! Verse II * * If’s you anint no Southerner….you is still gets to Go home…… Yeah, sho.. you can bring yo’ cell phones.… Now we’s on our way, and we’ll be there in a few… While travelin a-long…jus‘ lookin at“THE VIEW” Woo! we’s here all ready… Jen that’s yo’ stop by The old pine tree..… * Jen is right at home g’wine to Calicky. * When you get’s inside the house..find yo’ TV, Turn it on.. watch some Christmas stories wit me. This here covers my heart like a chocolite glaze… Cause we’s finely find: * * A Home for the Holidays You might of seen.. this little favorite movie, CBS's stations usually show dis one everee year. But may have missed a few since… well, I don't know… It’s a special show that focous on the topic of adoption. This is a rare showin’ now but originally this TV show was one presented by The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, and the Children’s Action Network. You might chek around to see if it’s showin up in your TV town. My lil TV source says this foundation was established in 1992 by Wendy’s own Dave Thomas, who is now deceased started and funded the organization, and who was also adopted. Why them's some intoe‘restin facts. Probably only a few of us knowed that.. * …Want to watch A Home for the Holidays… * "Now, I‘m gin-u'wine in assist'tin.." If y’all wanna to see it… "You've got to chek yo' local tv listings" TUNE IN FOR THE HOLIDAY FAVORATES! * If you is got’s a sattle-lite or something LARGE like that in yo’ home’s yard. * THAT'S A GREAT STAKE! * You can watch TV from over yonder in the UK! Oz is at home this Christmas day! She doesn't live in the land of OZ...She in lives in North Carolinay!…with a big dish, even …she might see this next show.. It’s called.... * * Big Brother Panto * * My sources tell me this is a pantomime. You should already know what a pantomine is. * * Pantomime's looks like dis' This story is based on Cinderella, only with Big Bro Panto It‘s mo like Cinder FELLAS!…Ten Big Brothers housemates --from across the first five series, the take part in moving this pantomime to puttin on big shoes?. I wonder what they shoe sizes is! This is a well known fairy story and a classic…if you live in the UK. Why I’m told it’s E4's very own pantomime ….Whoever dat is? The UK must be a lil strange… Hmm? This is yo‘ lil‘ Southern News…How do I know anything bout that? Chek around, I can‘t… Sattle-lite TV anin‘t at home wit me!.. This pantomime was written and motioned by Jonathan Harvey also author of Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Coronation Street. * * Ohh..Big fOOTS!! Shucks! I’m leevin them Big Brothers on they own.. Come on ya’ll we’s got to get a movin on! Well…anyways we’ll probably miss looking that mime… How ‘bout we jus’ keep “stickan tah” these rhymes.. Verse III * * * BRRRR! I’ams feelin some COLD BREEZES.. It’s coming from in de Forrest some where among them treezees!.. That’s where’s Frosty is livin in three degree’zees!… Ordean! you is at home in Forrest …..City, Arkansas; …I mean.. What’s in yo' town, waiting to be seen? Three Frosty’s shows might FIND its air-waves ON yo’ TV’s I thank it’s worth a look-seeS!… Frosty the Snowman * Frosty the Snowman is the classic tale about a snowman who is brought to life by wearing a silk hat. He brangs the neighborhood chil’len’ lots of fun and laughs. But when the winter leaves, Frosty melts like ice cubes in a hot fire! Haw!….HAPPY BIRTHDAY!… Will FrostY come back?…why show he does! If his hat ANIN’T BURNED.. he’s be up next in…. Frosty Returns Frosty the Snowman is back! This time he is “Smarter than the average Snowman!” He “Out-thankING” a mean inventor who sprays some snow removal stuff called “Summer Wheeze“…. “Yipes! But, look -A thar’..ya’ll! … “Seems like Frosty is getting’ a “lil tide” of playin wit them chaps!”… He goes and takes a …Nap and …wakes up looking for some one to LOVE.. and hold his hand in... * Frosty's Winter Wonderland Good Ole Frosty keeps his promises and comes back once Mo! But dis time Frosty is a “tad bit lonely“…Even the little chill’dren can’t make him happy. Everee Snowman needs a lady friend… and well,…Frosty has a “heart” now… and he is looking fo’ someone he can love. So them smart kids, build him Frosty wit the bride A SnowWIFE..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It’s a wedding! House sweet!…A Birthday and a Wedding! … Why I…looove…to be in weddings, S’ pecialie when I do WINNIESPOETRY as the bride. “I gets to be a bride of Christ” ….Anyways..Frosty and Mrs. Frosty. Gets ta.marry each other, ….but that OLD Jack Frost is tryin to blow that marriage right off the map! His plans is spoiled….How? Y'all SEE DAT!’ "A BIG White Cloud is overhead!" It’s loaded with“a heaps of snow” coming down and makin snow beds!… * * So tune in and watch all three of them Frosty‘s…On Christmas Eve's Eve..Snuggles up close please.. You gone be snowed in fo’ quite few days!… * And Christmas Day you won’t be dreaming neither on dis Christmas Eve's Eve it's a chilley cold nite .. You'll wake wit snow that's real white like the bridal dress, truly brite Show-e-nough ya’ll, yo' Christmases will show B’ white!! Where's bout is Forrest City?…Go and ask Ordean. She showly should knows… * Cause ya’ll yard’s will be fillin up wit them Snows. VERSE IV It’s a night befo’ Christmas …..and that means it’s Christmas Eve.. Somewhere in ya’ll house a grinch is filling his sleeves.. Hey Marta! Catch dat old Grinch fo’ you goes out to plays in dat snow.. Lil Queens… Senora. or .Senorita… * BE sho..Lock yo…DOE! Wit the stars from Whosville in this all WHOsar’rrific cast…You’s be watchin…somewhere inside stayin out that mess....I guess? How the Grinch Stole Christmas Now, everyone loves this favo’rate TV show! That “mean one” Mr.Grinch comes to Whosville ..and…shows up on Christmas Eve…and takes everybody’s dinker danker’s toys…all they foods...Along with Mozell’s lil’ chicken. “I told him to put that chick back“….Any ways …This is one of Dr. Seuss’s Classics… I’ve always felt kinda sorry fo’ that lil “doggie reindeer.” Real sorry when he get’s snapped with that whip! That Grinch is stealings ever’ee thangs! When Christmas Morning arrives all the Who’s in Whosville is so glad It’s Christmas Day and still gets sangs…..Wah…Who…Wah Who!… This mus be a Whosville language?…“I ‘m not sho“…but I never did quite understan them words too clear… Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer "Go back home Rudolph, you already is gone down in history." We'll be watchin you on many channels! * * * * VERSE V It's Christmas Day! It’s not the frills and thrills! Or the foods of feasts festers It’s not the fine wines and dining… And the all toys of little children smiling gestures.. It’s not about wearing Cinderella’s shoes… Or that you went home for Christmas in “A Little Southern News” It’s about Christ… That’s what Christmas is… It can’t be stolen, or taken away by a Grinch. Nor, even covered up with snows falls inch by inch by inch. It’s a celebration of Jesus ..when we remembered to say… HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Where Kings brought gifts to a “lil small stranger” God’s Baby wrapped in swallowing clothes and lying In a manger. * * CHRIST IS BORN. HERE’S YO’ TIP: My mama used to make these every Christmas! “MY MAMA’S TEE CAKES” FROM: MIISRAEL For serving of 8 to 10 cakes Preheat yo’ oven to 350 degrees You’ll need: 4 cups of that flour, or cake flour…(Sifting helps if it’s regular flour.) First: In a small bowl beat 4 eggs . Add: 1.5 cups of vanilla (imitation vanilla is okay, pure vanilla is better) 1 stick of melted or softened butter or margarine A tsp. of baking power Then Add: 2 cups of sugar…(or sweeten to taste) Mix and stir it up well. In a separate larger bowl, Add the milk and the flour Stir well. Next: Pour the sugar mix with the milk and flour. Your mix should be a little runny, but not too much.. it should look like pancakes but a much darker and a little stiffer. If your mix is too runny… add lil more flour if necessary. Stir it all up real good! (Use a mixer until well blended.) Next: Use a cookie pan or a cookie sheet to measure your cakes dough. If you don’t have a non-stick pan, use a non-stick spray, or grease pans with oil or shortening. “Spread yo’ mixture like you are making pancakes, only like a “cookie size” Place them the oven’s top rack Bake em ‘till they is golden brown…Keep a close watch! Baking times varies with each oven. Let them cool a spell. Serve them with tea, or coffee, or yo’ favorite Christmas punch. "mmmM...gOOD!"
