Our 44th President

Posted By: Carolyn Ann Powell on December 26, 2008 I am so excited for Jan. 20th for our President - elect Barack Obama. We are continuing to make history even in 2009. It is not by chance that he was elected to serve the United States. Although he now shares the voice for change he is not THE VOICE. Meaning do not think that all the issues we are facing will be solved. If the House and Senate does not vote in favor with him then it doesnt get passed. I just do not want people to expect so much from him and be disappointed and talk about him as if he hasnt done his job. But, Im so estactic about it and it came at a great time. The NAACP is about to celebrate 100 years of service on Feb. 12 2009. We should be thankful for everything they have gotten us through and is still continuing to get us through.
