America The Beautiful

America The Beautiful
Posted By: TANGELIA PLAZZ on January 01, 2009

How is it that you can raise a flag, which represent the most beautiful country and declare its representation “UNITED”? America the Beautiful!

Reading the lyrics to the song “America the Beautiful” does not suggest a particular color. It speaks of love, brotherhood, devotion and Unity. Pay close attention to the 1st, 3rd & 4th stanza of the song. You will envision a wavering flag standing strong against the wind not faltering. The only color you will envision is RED, WHITE & BLUE. Neither Black nor White (in the ethnic sense).

“Amber waves of grain” which are planted by all nationalities alike. There is no distinction as to who neither planted the seeds nor harvested the crop. All felt the pain; backs & feet aching alike, sweat dripping from every brow and the palm of hands torn, bruised and callous covered.

Any man can sing the song, fight for the country or represent the country and be thought highly of; but when a man has been elected by the people, for the people to serve the people in the highest office of this country it is not justifiable to express how gracious you are openly; neither is it justifiable to express your gratitude by posting a picture of the New First family on an announcement board the day after he’s elected into office. Is it that they were offended by the color of the skin?

It saddens me that in this day and time a man can invent and patent all type of useful products up to and including the aid of keeping another man alive or weapons of destruction and not be thought of enough to lead this country.

Will someone not accept something that was invented by another person of color in exchange for keeping his or her life?

When an autopsy is performed, there is no indication (without looking at the skin) of the nationality of an individual nor does it indicate the experience, education or intellectual level of a person neither does it state how well versed they are on foreign affairs.

If we look back at where we have come from and think of where we can go our possibilities are endless. In the same aspect if we look back at where we have come from and not look to where we can go then our possibilities are impossible.

Where is the Justice, Where is the Injustice and who do they represent? The Pledge of Allegiance speaks as a whole: One Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and JUSTICE FOR ALL. The Pledge is echoed from across the walls of every school in the United States. It rings out amongst all at all governmental functions. Do we pay attention to what we are saying? Are we allowing the words to be imbedded in our hearts?

Why are we still fighting for equality (in every sense of the word)? How and why does a degree of a white man outweigh the degree of a black man? That is not equality. They could have attended the same University and graduated in the same class and not be treated equally because the color of their skin.
Where will it all end? When will it all end? Do we have to be stretch out on our backs on a cold slab or in a box & lowered into the ground to be consumed by insects and matter only to realize we are all the same? We all come in this world one-way & leave out one way.
