What Exatly Do Black Women Want.

What Exatly Do Black Women Want.
Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on January 13, 2009

What exatly do Black Women want(Period). I'm just asking? I know I can't speak for all black women, but on the whole what are we wanting? I hear some black women wanting careers, money, husbands, children, home. Then I hear some say the want, husbands, children and a home. Others want it all! Is there a common ground where most black women want the same thing? I examined myself for instance, I don't want a husband and I don't want to date at all. Nothing personal for women who do, but I'm just a little tired of I need a man thing.

I need a man to repair things around the house, that I can give pay, but he can't stay! My tolerance level is short with men. I don't hate them, I think they're handsome as long as they belong to some other sister and not trying to come my way. I have child though he's grown up now. I want money, but not necessary to have lots of riches, but if it happened well I'd take it. I love freedom. To be at liberty to travel, or just stay home on any given day. I don't mind work, if it's of my own choosing, but I will work to survive. Women want different things, some are all combinations but overall I think black women just want room to be creative, and a place they can identify and just be themselves. Period.

Guest Visitor: I wish to acknowledge that writing this blog was my way of generally opening a conversation for diverse opinions. Not a way of pointing out that a person or persons are crazy to think or write down a thought! Personally, I not worried about what any woman wants( per say) but I liked to think that women can share a common agreement in helping each other's growth, and that a general place can be focused on for mediating without any disrespect of each other's thoughts. Like I stated in my blog there are many woman who want different things. This may or may not be of interest to you, it may seem futile to your preception of opinions. You know what's good about that, you certainly know what you want. You have voiced your thought. I take it's exactly what you wanted to say. I think I have understood you reply. Now others may want to give their own opinion, thoughts, or insights. I learn much from others. Why would wanting to know what others want make me worry. Who's really worried here? I'm not worried.

Mozell is exactly right. I think he said it better than I did. If you know what you want, that's great! If you'd like to share your voice that's even better. If you want to keep it to yourself, no one is forcing you to writing down anything. Please however, respect my blog, and voice a positive feedback. Thank you.

Minister Dr. Jacqueline, you are beautiful to share your wants. Some of the things you mentioned are what many black, and other races of women want. Jen, you're a real friend, and women of diversity should want to be friends--even in cyber-space. Guest Visitor 1 You have voiced some very inspirational thoughts, I knew you were not the same blogger. Many thanks to each one of you for sharing. It's a lovely thing to want to be nice.

Appreciation. I remember the struggles and worry on my grandmother's face (pictures) as she tries to provides the best she could for her five children. In the end, it was the grandchildren that put in the extra finances should she would have a decent burial. I see my mother, after the death of my father not knowing what to do for her two children until her annuity checks began to come in. She never skipped a beat of putting food on the table, clothing her children for school, keeping all the utilities on (it went unnoticed by the children, the worry she went through) and every "I want" was met. Being a single parent myself, playing the role of husband, dad, taxi driver, doctor, nurse, trashman, lawnkeeper, and handiman oh I forgot exterminator (for when their is a spider in the bath tub, or cricket in the doorway and plumber, for when the toliet gets backed up. People notice you as the strong one who does not need any help......men are intimidated by you because they consider you to be strong-minded and not wanting any advice from a male perspective.
Well, it becomes tiring after a while and it would feel good every once in a while to have someone else at the helm to make the decisions.................and to let you know that you are appreciated.
