Sweets, Sugar,Candied Yams--Diabetes anyone?

Posted By: Marta Fernandez on January 16, 2009 Wondering why you are fat?? why fat pursues us ? it's lurking everywhere --under FDA lies,misinformation by doctors, nutritionists, health magazines..well meaning friends and family. Lets begin with the big bad boys,the Federal Drug Administration agency. Two things we need to know.1.despite it being a government agency it is a profitable, powerful playpen for politicians, pharmaceutical companies and get rich quick scheming entities. 2. It has no regulatory body over it to monitor the shenanigans, just like the IRS. When a new "miracle diet, pill, cream, etc." is presented to the FDA-the average time for approval is three months!! it is accepted under "generally recognized as safe" GRAS-until proven unsafe or it damages our bodies, like Vioxx, like Ephedera a diet supplement or thousands of others. By the time it is removed from the market (most of the time due to the testimony of watch dog groups) hundreds if not billions of dollars have been made by the manufacturer, a bunch of people have died and the cycle begins again. The monetary damages are well worth the profit. No that you know, don't put your faith in the words FDA approved!! The Insulin manufacturers working with doctors use the psychology of people against patients. They take advantage of the trust built into this governmental agency. They know how it works and patient's trust their doctors as gods. If you are on insulin--you have your work cut out for you. If you are pre-diabetic you have to do the work- each-case is individual!!! all poisons kill anyone, but cures have to be tailored. Insulin--a MAJOR hormone made in our pancreas. Released right after a good ol' Thanksgiving dinner. Goes to the liver, there it -depending on our genetics, age, body fat condition, stress levels, and general nutrition now converts to FAT. If your metabolism at 48 years of age is high, well good for you..it will be burned off..that's a genetic example. But you can't pass up the traditional peach cobbler, pecan pie and now the pancreas has to release insulin again..if you have some inuslin resistant cells which you will know by your obesity, or middle age spread--the insulin floats around in your blood--now it converts and stores in the hips,abdomen and stomach. Unless you have been fortunate to farm your own food and kill your own steers and chickens, we have all been poisoned--Chicken a favorite food has too high amounts of H.Pyolori bacteria--more gut problems-(more sales of Zantac) Orange Roughy my favoirte has mercury! and we thought it was only tuna! So insulin resistance, is more prevalent today than in our parent's youth-all this sugar floating around, is absolutely loved by tumors, cancerous and benign. Now the kidney get in the act and retains salt to counteract the sugar --which retains water as the body struggles to get the salt out--putting a strain on the arteries to the heart and other organs. As the body tries to balance, and only you and your test results know what you are working with..it overstimulates the nervous system. Look family--NOBODY loves sugar more than I--I had to tell myself I will eat pastries when I go to France or Europe or anywhere else that it is not processed under" FDA -US approval." I understand everything has to be in balance..the thought of not having something sweet is too much for me to bear--but the thought that for the profit motive a government agency would engage in acts that will harm me is something I am not willing to accept. Any drug is a poison--there are herbs that can help in the preliminary pre-diabetes stage. If you eat sweets and carbs 4 x's a year you're ok--but that is not the way food is presented to us. The liver is the major orchestra leader. Detox first..fast from eating heavy foods to give the pancreas a rest..drink H2O..get a hormone panel.
