Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on January 22, 2009 HOMETOWN MEMPHIS JANUARY 22, 2009 3 YEAR KILLED IN CAR ACCIDENT Memphis, TN 01.21.09 A Memphis driver indangered his life and the lives of his daughters ages 3 and 11 when he lost control of his car in the neighborhood of North Memphis last night. The Father of two girls who names have not been released , struck a utilitity pole which took the life of his 3 year old and wounded his 11 year daughters. The father was arrested for driving under the influence and failure to maintain control of a vechicle. No charges has been filed at this time, but likely he will probably face vechicle homicide relating in the death of his 3 year old who died at the accident scene. TEARS ON A BUS Friday, 01.16.2009 Memphis, TN It was getting later and later when the parents of a speciality student had not seen the bus bring thier child home. In a frantic, the parents called the dispatcher at The Memphis City School campus to see what was going on. Two hours after the drop off time, the child was found safe, left on the bus in 20 degree weather. The bus is equipped with an alarm at the back of the bus, which the driver must shut off before leaving the bus, but as the driver did shut off the alarm, failed in seeing the child still aboard. The student was left there for a period of 2 hours. The driver was terminated. Memphis City School Superintendent, quoted that behavior of such incident of carelessness is preventable and will not be tolerated. First Students is a school for students requiring special needs. AMBER ALERT! 01.22.09 Johnson City, TN Please be on the lookout for a 2year girl abducted by her mother early today! The child name is Hannah Jo Hicks. Last seen with her mother Valerie Hicks. The child was last seen wearing blue jeans and pink coat. The mother, Valerie is approximately 9 months pregnant and driving a Ford Bronco. The mother has been noted as possible indangering the child because it stated she may have been intoxicated. If you see Hannah Jo or her mother call your local police or call toll free 1.800.TVI-FIND. If you can hear the cry of our children, give aid to save our children.
