Too Blessed to be Stressed

Posted By: Rakeal McKnight on July 05, 2005 Lately i have been sooooo stressed because of this summer job. First of all it was a complete blessing to even get hired . I am very grateful that they even gave me a chance. But there are people here that do not want me here and they are making it very hard for me. All my desire was to do is make a little money so that i could go back to school and buy books, and maybe myself a little somethin too. Is that too much to ask for? I dunno why people are so mean. I am just a young Afircan American female tryin to make somethin of herself. Why won't these people just let me breath? Dang...we're definitely at a similar place in out lives. I got hired at the job I'm working at back in June, and I was lucky enough to start working the day after graduation. I like the job, especially when I get to work with the kids. But the other interns, specifically the girls, have it our for me real bad. I get stares, snickers, comments...I get it all. But....WHATEVA! I'm here to do a job. That's what I have to remind myself of everyday. Everywhere you go they'll be haters....so you GOT to be doin' somethin' RIGHT!
