A letter to John in Nigeria

A letter to John in Nigeria

A GOOD GROUND

Isn't true that it is easier to love the one we see than to love the one who guess to see? Isn't it true that it is easier to miss the one with whom we used to live that the One we always lived with but we never saw? In the beginning of our lives, we come through and from the flesh but, later one in our lives, we have to make a choice to belong to the family that was created at the first place, a family of care unconditional a family of full devotion, a family of deep and true happiness as this family was created as such, peace, rest, happiness and divine care under the Light of a Father we are yet to see. No one has seen Him but the Son; but all of us have seek the Father through the Son.

We certainly feel left behind or kind of abandoned when one of us is leaving not to come back again. What do we choose to see? What do we choose to feel? Either what but most of all Who is going to lead us to be able to move forward in this temporary life from which we are to receive rewards above our imagination. Let's consider and realize the truth that is that the Son knows the Father and we know the Son; therefore through the Son the Father also knows us consequently, we should know Him as well. Why do I say we should? The reason is that there is a difference of lifestyle to choose from: the first one is the lifestyle of the Gentiles that is the material things and the feelings of attachement to anything one can buy and worship during his or her life and then, there is the righteous way to live, that is the most difficult challenge of our lives as we constantly have to fight against the “rules” of flesh that is always trying to overcome and control the substances of a temporary life each one of us has to go through.

A father is the one who plant the seed and the mother is to water the seed within until the time comes for the seed to be seen by all. The seed will grow under the care of his parents and with time, this seed will either plant another seed or will water the seed. But this seed has feelings, this seed has a heart, this seed has a value that is to bring before all, the testimony of a living unseen presence. This come through the education the child has to receive from his father and his mother. Since we are not to stay on this earth but to live a true life that has been promised to each and everyone of us later on, our duty is to make sure that the seed that we have planted and watered has been placed in good ground. What is a good ground? That is the parental unity, the respect and care for each child that comes into the world to witness of the presence of a Father we do not see. That is our first duty toward the seed we planted and watered, that has to be our daily focus to see a child grow in a decent and divinely protected way.

Earlier in his life, a father had planted a seed and a mother has watered the seed. When the seed came for all te see, they called the seed John. He grew up and today, through the education of caring the Light from the will of his father and mother, John has become a servant of the Lord. He is here to witness as his father was, he is here to share as his mother did, his duty is to bring to all the words:” hope does not disappoint". What was the hope of John's father? Probably to see his son witnessing of his care toward him, until such time John had to care for his father as it is written.

Christ was there in the beginning with the Father and the Father was within the Son in the beginning as the Son was there before the world was created. The Son has followed the Father as the Father led the Son.
John's father was before John; he planted the scheduled seed for John to come to witmess.

Our Father who created John's father through the Son, as “all things were made through Him and without Him, nothing was made that was made”, had a mission that was to lead his son righteously as he knew that he had planted his seed in good ground. Let's make a note as even though sometimes, we can plant a seed in good ground, if we do not clean the area where the seed has been planted, bad seeds could overcome the good one through its deceiving and deceptive roots. That has been the duty of Jon's father, as he protected his seed by cleaning up the area where his seed was planted. Today, we see a well respected minister who is constantly witnessing the grace of the Lord to those who are still in doubts, rescuing and teaching again, going the extra mile to find the lost sheep and bring it back to the flock. That is the works John's father has done: He planted a seed in good ground.

Our Father sent us His Seed, our Father we do not see came with His Seed whose goal was to remind us of our Father and that, through Him, since the Kngdom of God is at hand, we would be more than welcome to rest in the Mansions of the Father throught he seeds we choose to plant in good ground. Jesus is the Seed, Jesus in the way, Jesus is the Truth, Jesus is the life. Our Father used Him to show us the road, a clean path enlightened by the Light of God He has been carried since the beginning. When His mission was accomplished, He went back to His Father who glorified Him with Him and that is the reason for which today, we all say the same words Christ Jesus was saying:” For Your Name be glorified”. None of us can glorify another Name than the Name of the Christ with whom we are working, and from whom we are able to do great works. Today we can say the same words:” My Father has been working so Iam working”. The difference is that Our Father does not have a body that perishes, Christ does not have a body that perishes but we do. The Father sent His Seed who planted 12 other ones, even one of them was there for the scripture to be fulfilled and was replaced. Since then, the multiplication of good seeds has been more than overwhelming but, each seed has to be taking care of for the wind of evil not to blow it away, pushing it off the good ground. John's father has been working to protect the planted seed through his leadership as our Father led the Son. He probaly felt or said the same words Our Father witnessed to the world:” You are my beloved son, in whom I am well pleased”.

When the time comes where we have to acknowledge the reality of what our parents have done for us, it is time for humulity, not living with the past, but moving from the past toward the future. Let me take a little moment to explain this. Living with the past could be considered as living in the darkness of souvenirs even though we can say that we sometimes had good times. But when we live thinking aboutthe good times of the past, we go back in the past, therefore, we are trying to move forward looking backward. We have learnt from the leadership of what has been taught to us, we are now movning forward, not looking backward but looking in front of us. It is like driving a car. How can we drive a car in reverse on a forward road? It could be very easy for me to quote a lot of scriptures but isn't it true that when we have grief, even verses we do not hear? Therefore, I will say one thing today to you John; I will say to you that there is a phrase that your father meant to say to you at his last meal that is:” Job well done, good and faithful servant”.

Brother John, let me lead you to remember one thing only through a question I have for you. Did you see the peace in your father when he left? Therefore, I have a word for you that is that your father will receive comparable words from Him:” Job well done, good and faithful servant”.

These will probalby the words of the One we do not see but who is the One we feel deeply in us, Our Father through Christ Jesus, our eternal Father.
