Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on February 17, 2009 HOMETOWN MEMPHIS: February 17, 2009 WEED IN THE TEMPLE 02.14.2009 Brighton, TN Grand parents are often taking their grand baby to church-- is not so out of the ordinary, and even more so, changing a baby's diaper is all too common. On Sunday, 2.15.2009, while the baby was in the church's nursery, attendants opening the baby's diaper bag notice it was full of something else. There in the baby wipes, was 20 ounce bag of "Weed" as known as Mary Jane, or Marijuana. The nursery attendants staff called police which led to the arrest of the baby's father, who incidently was not at the church service but owned up to that ounce of "baby's wipe" contents belonged to him. He was arrested and will face some charges for intent to either having or to sale a control substance. The baby will be staying with grandparents for the time being with real baby wipes.... NEXT STORY: THE CANE PRINCIPLE 02.13.2009 Memphis, TN Details are still a little blurred, but during a routine traffic stop a Memphis Police Officer pulled over a Memphis Shelby County School Principle on Friday only to discover he had in his possession drugs, particular cocaine. The Middle School Principle , Marty Pettygrew, was arrested for drug charges, but has been released on bond. He is scheduled to appear at an hearing on Monday, February 23, 2009. Parents are shocked! Well, it looks as if traffic tickets for him will find him with the cane in hand. "How crippling...." THIS IS NEXT: SHELBY COUNTY MAYOR, WANTS MORE GUN CONTROL A.C. BEFORE FORCLOSURE 02.17.2009 Memphis, TN The Memphis City Council will discuss on issues of home foreclosures in Memphis and Shelby County. The Council will look at ways to prevent foreclosures of many family homes in aid to to stop the home's take overs. Memphis has been approved with a 14 million dollar grant to aid in helping families in keeping their homes. The outbreak of foreclosures has been placed on a bad ecomony and bad lending laws. Law suites are pending and the City Council are making plans to help out as much as possible with the new grant. I'll be foreclosing now with a little Hometown News. I love living in Memphis, it's a great place to call home.
