SUNO women defeat Spring Hill College in first round of GCAC Tournament

Posted By: Eddie Francis on March 03, 2009 NEW ORLEANS, LA - The #7 seed SUNO Lady Knights played a physical game to defeat the #10 seed Spring Hill Lady Badgers in the first round of the GCAC Tournament. SUNO beat Spring Hill 70-56 at The Castle. Kiarra Sims scored a double-double with 19 points and 10 total rebounds. It was Louvinia Hayes who led the Lady Knights in scoring with 21 points and All-GCAC player Jazzlyn Prince scored 12 on the night. Keisha Forbes led the Lady Badgers in scoring with 23 points and 9 total rebounds. Lynleigh Hughes also had 9 rebounds for Spring Hill.
