Manager of Technology Operations Position at Harford Community College

Posted By: Jehan Bunch on March 17, 2009 Job Description: This position manages the College's technology operations; organizes, controls, and coordinates all technical activities associated with the College's electronic infrastructure (data center, network services, connectivity, server environment, SAN, wireless access, telecommunications); and manages the administrative systems of the College (Banner ERP, OwlNet portal, application programming, Web site). The manager is also responsible for information security, server development, database integrity, backups, and security policies. The manager supervises the technology operations staff of nine full-time employees and works with the campus community to coordinate and oversee campus-wide technology policies and procedures. This is an exempt, professional staff position. Qualifications / Requirements: A bachelor's degree in computer technology or a related field, seven years of experience in a network environment, and at least two years of supervisory experience are required. A master's degree is preferred. Equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience may be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with Banner ERP experience.
