Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on March 28, 2009 Of course they do! What do books say? Books contain words an author writes ...and that can be well, about anything. Making your own book speak better is developing characteristics of good writing skills. Sharpening your own writing techniques. Expressing and painting the picture with words that come to life to your reader's mind. For example read this: It was a chilly and rainy day, the winds were blowing from the North and surrounded my face with a cluster of goose bumps. I took my gloveless fingers to enclose the top button of my coat, then quickly blowing my warm breath in my hands, I lodged them back into my coat's pockets. I had no umbrella, and the sprinkled dampened my head. I had a only a few steps before I was at my doorstep and on my porch. I wrote this as a narrative paragraph using a character, but I didn't specify if the person was male of female. Thus the reader was not informed as to who I was, but possibly vivid clarity that I being a female was writing of myself. A successful writer of characters have many ways to express the storyline. Making sentences work to keep the reader's attention and interest. Keeping the every mysteriously apprehension of what will happen next. This can also be done with Christian authors who write books of Word. Think of ways to keep them interested, and wanting to know more about God's Word or the words in which you are writing about. Make your book speak. Practice and read over how you are wanting to project your special writing. Afterall your books speak. You want your book to be heard? Yes, of course you do!.. Irma, I can understand that very well. There are many books of the Bible that would "scare the pants off a bear!" However, I feel it takes a frame of mind to visuale WORD. That would have to come from The Almighty, Himself. I strive at writing in usages of parables and using this and similar approaches to getting the message out and understood. Never disrespecting the Bible, but making it more proficient for the reader's understanding. I pray a lot of course! Thanks for your comments Irma. Great points!

My husband sometimes get so upset with me. I love to read and when I do I tend to lock out the real world so much so I do not hear him when he speaks to me. I have been to many worlds by the words and characters of science fiction writters.I have been back in time with the writtings of lewis Lamore.You have no idea how many magazines I take each month and love everyone of them. MISRAEL, my mom would have loved to have had you to get me beyond my comic books stage as a child(smile)she use to say the same thing you said in the post, but I resisted the reading for the pictures... No disrespect to you or to the Bible,but reading the Bible on my own I found it very violent and I was TOLD what I was suppose to be reading as far as to what I was to be able to understand. I am sure that you are the tipe of person who would make reading the Bible very open and very understanding and nothing to fear or be confused about therefore never leaving a child -teen stressed out.
