Tigers pick up where they left off in Black and Gold game explosion

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on March 29, 2009 FEATURED Content Grambling, LA --- (courtesy GSU Sports Information) Junior signal caller Greg Dillon opened the 2009 Grambling State Black and Gold game with a three play, 80-yards touchdown drive to set the tone for the evening as the Gold defeated the Black squad, 17-0, in a well rounded performance It was a chilly day in the piney hills of north Louisiana but Robinson Stadium was on fire with something for everyone as the kids enjoyed face painting and a space walk, students dined on boiled crawfish and everyone rocked to the sounds of “The World Renowned” Tiger Marching Band; while fans took an early advantage of purchasing season book tickets. On the field the two teams offered a delightful evening of defensive stances and offensive explosions in their final evaluation of the spring. Dillon would throw for 216 yards on 12 completions; while Christian Anthony would lead the defense with eight tackles (7 sacks). Grambling will open their season September 6th in Orlando, FL when they face South Carolina State in the SWAC/MEAC Challenge. Season book tickets are now available at the GSU ticket office.
