I HATE MEN!

Posted By: Janine Quarles on July 12, 2005 I am so tired of the male species, its not even funny anymore. Why is it that every male I deal with decides to be an @sshole this summer. They all lie, they cheat, and they TRY to get only one thing from you. My now EX boyfriend....was ridiculous. He never made an effort to spend time with me, only fit me into his schedule when he felt he needed to, didn't have any goals, ambitions, dreams....NOTHING! And then had the nerve to ask me, "Do you think we can handle a long relationship?" HELL NO! We haven't been doing good for awhile, and I finally broke it off. And as worthless (yeah, harsh word, I know) as he was, it hurts like hell. I have NEVER put up with this much drama from any other guy, and I never WILL again. But even though he caused me so much grief....it hurts to let him go. Why is that? Why is it that girls go through so much pain and emotional agony to hold on to something that just isn't meant to be? Why is it that we psych out our minds, and blind our eyes so that we won't see the obvious (and SERIOUS) flaws, or red flags and caution signs, that could possibly save us from damaging our futures? And why do men take us for granted? Why is it that they NEVER realize a "good thing" when they have it? And it always takes some major turning point, or drastic turn of events for them to see what they did wrong. At this point in my life I'm feeling like, I don't wanna deal with NOBODY! Sorry asses.... I'm praying to God that its just the Boston Brothas that are like this....and that the south, with that oh so lovely "southern hospitality" will present to me an exciting new genre of young black men. But if you know you're jacked up....STAY AWAY FROM ME! Are there any sistahs out there who can relate or answer my questions? Are there any brothas out there who can prove me wrong? I really understanf what you are going through alot of these guys out here aren't worth a thing. But all you can do is just hope and pray that the right brotha will come your way. Until then just try to weed out the idiots that come your way

i feel you on everything you just said. its all true for except the part that ALL men are not like that. you have to not let one bad person mess your whole image up on the male species. i admit we do have our flaws. especially about time. i know i didnt show my first love any kind of attention when we were together. i paid for it hard with heartbreaking break up. but sometimes we as men forget about whats really important to us and then we dont realize until the last min that we had a good thing and it just slipped through our fingers. but im through now. but keep ya head up and think that ALL dudes like that. we not. showin luv from winston-salem state u! i'll holla!

Um...I have to disagree with you on something. Women do NOT go through any more emotional drama than men. According to a study, men actually fall in love quicker than women, and they are more prone to hide their feelings than women. Trust me, I know. My ex-girlfriend hurt the HELL out of me and she acts as if everything is cool. Screw her...but that's another story. You shouldn't hate men. While you are venting about hating men, another brotha, who is good, could be approaching you and you wouldn't notice because of what your dumb ex did to you. Calm down ma...breathe. Girl I know what u mean, cuz as a women we tend to stick by our man regardless to try to work things out. But u also have to be mindful of where u meet those dudes at, how u present ur self to them in the first place. A dude will only treat u the way u allow him to. (for the most part) We have to learn as women when to put our foot down and let them know off top what u about and ur expectations from him with in that relationship. When u tell him that from the get go u will know if he is willing to accept that or not. If not let his butt go! All men aren't dogs. Every dude I have talked to treated me like a Queen!!! I let them know what the deal was from the beginning and things worked out. So there are some good men out there. This is how I kind "skim" through the dudes i talk to....Just because a dude might approach u on the streets...u have to think...he is only approaching me cuz of what he see's...in most cases those be the dudes that don't want nothing with them selve or from u. But if u where to meet a dude in one of ur classes...and he knows how u think intellectually AND he likes what he sees....he might have more potential than the dude on the street. I understand where u comin from, but there is still hope for our brothers out here. (Sorry so long). And girl there are some "worthless" dudes down south too! Wednesday, July 13th 2005 at 12:06PM |
