PRAYERS OF A SMALL TOWN
04.05.2009
Grand Junction, Tennessee

People in the small town of Grand Junction, Tennessee gathered together and walked from church to city hall to pray. Seeking help from above they prayed for jobs and increase. Recently, the small community suffered lay-offs and closing of one it's major companies. Leaving most of the the community without employment. They walked together, both black and white and they prayed together too; with unity to Divine help to aid them in their suffering community. They gathered believing their prayers to be answered. Grand Junction population is estimated to be about 1,000.

Prayers of a small town, perhaps big cities could learn a lesson in Divine Power of Prayers...

And.. is the Power Lower?

TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY IS TO LOWER RATES
04.01.2009
Knoxville, TN
FYI: The following report is from the offical website of TVA:

TVA today announced the second consecutive decrease in its quarterly fuel cost adjustment for billing periods beginning April 1, 2009.

Because the fuel cost adjustment is a per kilowatt-hour charge, amounts that consumers will save depend on the amount of energy they use. While savings will vary across the Tennessee Valley, residential consumers can expect a decrease that ranges from about $4 to $9 in their monthly power bills. Retail billing periods for TVA power distributors also vary, so some April bills will include March usage at the lower rate.

Overall, the decrease for the quarter will be about a 7-percent reduction on total average wholesale rates, and is a reduction of almost 40 percent from the current quarter’s fuel cost adjustment amount. For the quarter beginning April 1, the fuel cost adjustment will decrease about 0.5 cents per kilowatt-hour, from more than 1.3 cents to 0.8 cents per kilowatt-hour. (End)

Now...I'm writing this:
Memphis residents are governed by the power usages of TVA. Residents will experience a small decrease, but are told that the low rate won't last long. Still conservation is encouraged in order to really see the lower rates in your bills. There's news the rate will increase again very soon.

So much for a low power....It sounded to good!

Anyway, we know somebody's praying.

We'll miss his singing...Read one more story...

Memphis, TN

Popular singer, James Hytter passed on Thursday, April 03, 2009. Mr. Hytter was famously known in Memphis for singing the end song of The Memphis in May Festivals for 21 years. He bellowed out in baratone.."Old Man River" and gained famed with the Memphis Smyphony Orchester. In front of growing crowds of thousands of Memphians and visitors to the Memphis in May festival, his voice triumphfully sounded. Truly his voice will remembered in echoes of memories of many, as so too, along the Mississippi by which he performed his special gifted voice. I can still can recall his voice...one that will be surely be missed.
