Things that Make you Go HMMM

Posted By: busta bitch on April 15, 2009 So this morning as I was watching the news, I thought I would share some of my thoughts that made me go hmmmm. Students, staff, faculty are so outraged that Notre Dame has invited President Barack Obama to be the 2009 commencement speaker, that they are protesting and have started a petition. It seems that those factions are outraged because they feel that President Obama, does not support the tenants of the Catholic church. Well I am sure that all those good Catholics at Notre Dame are all virgins, attend mass every Sunday, never over indulge in alcohol and abstain from eating meat every Friday. I may be wrong but I don't recall all those good Catholics at Notre Dame, protesting, petitioning and having candlelight vigils when it was revealed that the good catholic priest were molesting the little boys in the church and the good Catholic church, knew about it. I hate hypocrisy, especially hypocrisy in the church. Read the bible yourself, get to know God yourself and develop your own personal relationship...organize religion is nothing more than business trying to masquerade as something holy....hmmmm 2. When other nations went into Africa, seized its resources, controlled its citizens movement and liberties and profited from it ...it was called Colonialism... today when Somali do the exact same thing (think about it)...it is called Pirating...I am in no way endorsing what the Somalis have done, but children do what they see their parents do. hmmmm 3. This morning on Morning Joe, Pat Buchanan said (and I am paraphrasing) that he is tired of American presidents going around the world and apologizing for the wrongs that America did in the past. He referenced then President Bill Clinton's trip to Africa where he apologized for slavery. Here is a thought Pat Buchanan... America and others involved in the transatlantic slavery can stop apologizing for it, when you and others like you stop benefiting from it.......hmmmm 4.
