Why I Hate Beyonce

Posted By: busta bitch on April 15, 2009 Ok I don't REALLY hate Beyonce, I don't know her and to be quite frank, not interested in ever getting to know her either. Which is fair because she probably does not want to know me. But as a black woman, I hate what she stands for and represents. If I see one more heifer or gaan (gay man) doing the single woman dance, I am going home, to be with Jesus. Please sit your behind down. You are NOT Beyonce. Sit your behind down and go and read a book. This Ish has even infiltrated the church, Mother Mary in her Sunday wig; singing put a ring on it during praise and worship. What foolishness is this? Jesus take the wheel. Just as a side note, if Beyonce had come out with this song when she was still single, then it might have carried some weight with me. But it is interesting you wait until you get married to get bold and start talking ISH to other women. Pure hypocrisy! What is worst is that my sisters are right there singing this mess while Beyonce already been down the aisle and they are still waiting for someone to "put a ring on it". But, I digress. I know that it is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but really folks what are you imitating? Beyonce I am not mad at you, you parlayed a so so voice, ok face, nice body and booty shaking into a career. I am not mad at you, DO YOU. Alicia Keys you are not, but you took what you had and utilized it . My hat is off to you. However, now talent is no longer appreciated. Every marginally talented person with some behind (whether it is real or not), a weave, 4 inch stilettos, booty shorts and some shiny Ish, believes they can be the next Etta James. NO you cannot be. So quit it. This is what wrong in our community. We spend so much time on the wrapping, we never develop the product. We want the fast food version, the instance success, but do not want to take the time and effort to develop ourselves to have the real thing. Like Marvin Gay sings, 'ain’t nothing like the real thing baby, ain’t nothing like the real thing". So, now it is acceptable to be cute, but have no brain, to have fame and success, but no mores or character. To be perceived as successful, without having to put in the time and dedication and learn the hard lessons on the way to success. We are too focused on appearance of the house but are no longer nurturing the home. That is why our community is going to hell in a hand basket. This ISH has to stop. I am drawing a line in the sand right now. STOP THE MADNESS. But also let me give some pointers, so as this is my public service announcement to my people: Parents... take those web cams out of your children's room. Hell take the computer out. Give their behind a book to read. I don’t want to see anyone shaking their ass on You Tube, until you have read the compete unabridged works of Langston Hughes. Side note clean your dirty room before you broadcast it on the WWW, no wants to see all your clothes all on the floor. High School Administrators...proms and school dances should be a privilege not a right. If you did not graduate, can not read or write, do not have a viable career option or are enrolled in trade school or college and cant wear a dress that covers your breast and your behind, then you need to stay your behind home. PROM IS NOT FOR YOU. Young men...keep your pants on your behind.. IT IS NOT CUTE! What perplexes me even more is you wear your pants 2 sizes too big down your thighs, put on a little belt and then you cant walk and have to keep pulling up your pants. WEAR YOUR DAM SIZE. Young people...Ebonics is NOT CUTE. I cannot understand what the Hell you are saying. When you come into the professional environment, speak English and leave that crap for when you lil man, RayRay, QuaQua and Myesha are together. That brings me to another point, parents stop naming your children ISH. Combining the mothers name and the baby daddy name, is NOT CUTE. Stop naming your children after cars, celebrities or products. If you child has a um "unique" name for the love of God, please let it mean something. Also can we stop with the baby daddy and mommy ISH, if he or she is good enough to screw, then he or she should be good enough to marry. Yes this is one instance when you should imitate Barrack. Older Men and Preachers, unless you are a pimp, colored suits, with matching shoes, hat and other accessories are NOT CUTE. My sisters, its ok, it does not matter what size you, JUST WEAR YOUR SIZE. Also, please turn sideways, if your stomach sticks out rather than goes in, SPANDEX is not for you. Please before putting on slippers or open toe shoes, get a pedicure and some coco butter. Hair, unless it is on the top of your head, is NOT CUTE, wax it shave it, thread it... do something. To my black people in general. Stop perpetuating the stereotype. Can we please rise above as a people? Can we go back to being business owners, like our fore fathers? Can we again hold our heads up high and be regal and stately, like the Kings and Queens that were our ancestors? Can we stop shacking up together, and once again form families? Can we teach our young people who they are and to respect the legacy of those who came before them? Can we stop blaming everyone else for our problems, take a long hard look in the mirror and get our act together? Please please please can "we all just get along" and come together and once again be that village that raises our children.
