Kansas City + Heat = Murders!

Posted By: Veronica Thomas on July 15, 2005 I promise.. I've came to the conclusion that the heat is the blame for these senseless murders.. Now don't get me wrong I know the REAL reason is ignorance but check this out. Kansas City has nothing to do and so with the little things we do have (ex. Swope Park, Clubs, and the movies) we gather around and wish a person would funk with someone that we are close with.. that's when the problem starts. With streets like 51st, 27th, 12st etc.. if you mix this into the formula it will add up to murder! Now don't get me wrong I'm not blaming the streets for the murders but the HEAT, STREETS and NOTHING TO DO is what creates this problem. And it's not only the young cats out here doing the most.. it's ERBODY and they MAMA. I can't even go to the movies at Independence without having to dodge a crowd of a fight over who knows what. I can't even chill in the park at night with my friends without being worried someone might decide to bust for no reason. With #64 homicides and counting I hope you can see why I feel like this! And another thing before I leave- Check this out.. KC is small.. pretty much you know someone that knows someone you know and just think if you have funk with someone that is related to the person you are cool with.. LOOK HOW MUCH CAN COME FROM THAT! And it grows.. it never stops until someone is in the ground.. and even with that it's time for payback.. So let it snow.. maybe if it gets cold it will "freeze" some of this senseless violence!
