Dee Gray Provisioner at Cannot Say Motivational speaker, Veraunda Jackson, had it absolutely right when she said these things. I'm not too sure I feel her on the quitting the job you hate one though. If you have someone whose well-being other than your own you have to consider, that's neither the smart nor the responsible thing to do. You should at least have lined up the job you want to do before you quit the one that's keeping food on the table, food in the mouths and a roof over the heads. In most cases, it common sensical, but I've seen and experienced those who would take that and run with it...in the WRONG direction. LOL. I'm not suggesting anyone should immediately quit their jobs, we must give people credit for using good sence. However, people do need to consider other options that have possibilities. Eventually having a job you're good at and enjoy doing, makes 'Jane" a happier camper ! Dee Gray Provisioner at Cannot Say Yes, Ma'am. I understand exactly where you're coming from (or where Ms. jackson was coming from, that is). I agree with your hint, but you and I both know that not everybody HAS good sense. I've experienced first-hand the ones to whom I refer. You're right though. This blog is for growth and moving in a more positive direction. I (personally) am accustomed to venturing into that direction because it's how my mother and my grandmother raised me. I thank God for that. Again, thanks for posting this. It sparked my interest in Ms. Jackson and what else she's had to say. I have a friend who's a motivational speaker and so because I collect quotes and such, I always research the source. I'm working a book now that includes original quotes and favorite quotes from other people. So far, I have a couple of co-worker, a couple of family members and a few random strangers with whom I've had conversations that moved or inspired me. A couple of people on here have some in there, too. I love to draw off other people because we all have something to bring to the table. And yes, maybe perhaps some unfortunate soul that didn't have the luxury of having some things may benefit. I also try to keep in mind that it doen't matter who does the job, long as the job gets done. ( in this case, delivering the message ) We should all think about collecting quotes, as you and I know there are alot of good ones out here. Good luck on your book, I hope it benefits a whole lot of people. People that does not have good sence ? Well Sister,..... all I /we can do, is help them the best we can ! Hopefully , they'll develope on their own.( God indeed does look out for babies and fools ) Lol ! For those people, we have to let God ,do God's job ! Thanks for everything you've said.
