Sometimes...when you love something and let it go and it doesn't come back to you it wasn't meant to be. Don't tear yourself up inside about something you can't change. When you really think that you can no longer do anything else to change the person's mind then you can either wait for them to come around or go your separate ways. There is no telling how long that could be, but at least you know you did all you could do and its really up to them.
