"Faith In The Fire"

Posted By: Vernell Gore on May 03, 2009 Have you ever been in a situation whre you are pushed beyond your limits? I know we all know the quote God will put no more on us than we can bear but if you have lived as a believer a real believer, you have been in this situation. You have felt at your wits end. You have been pushed to the limits of your own existence into a dimension of child like faith. Yes that is called faith in the fire. You see we have a knowledge of God through our intellect but our true faith is tested faith. Remember the Scripture I Peter1:7 That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. It speaks of a faith not heard of but tried. Sometimes our trials are to show us where we are in our walk with God. Have you ever faced a trial and thought you were handling it right and God set a witness to let you know your focus was wrong. Or sometimes he sends one to tell you, you are right in line with faith at work but your release has not come. You are facing faith in the fire. Sometimes these experiences are lonely because you may face some of Job's friends. People with an answer to your confirmation of being in the storm but no exit to it. People who tell you where you are but they don't see why you are. These storms can make you want to withdraw to yourself which sometimes is fine when that leads you to withdraw to seek God. Never be ashamed of facing faith in the fire for after patience has had her perfect work with you, you will be entire wanting nothing. See we are in a dimension of time that shall reflect a move of God that will reveal his glory in dimensions I believe many have not seen. People today are so conscious of personalities and great leaders that they fail to realize its God moving. But God will reveal himself to the church in dimensions I feel will separate the follower of God and the followers of man. It was seen in the day of Moses and I believe it will be seen again. You may just be one of the select ones being trained in the fire to learn how to stand and how to stand alone for him. So if you are being tried or have been tried in the fire. Be grateful. You were chosen to let his glory be reflected in your life. He chose you to reveal himself to as Jehovah. The question is what characteristic of God did he reveal to you in the fire? Was it provider, source of peace, righteousness, sanctifier, healer, shepherd, rock, mastor,lord. See the fire not only purifies it perfects and teaches. It can reveal to you your covenant so your future in him is confidence. Aren't you glad you faced your time in the fire. Now you no longer have someone else testimony to tell you can say it was the Lord who sustained me in my fire. Not Shadrach,Meeshach and Abednego. Your own story is being written.
