Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on May 06, 2009 HOMETOWN MEMPHIS: MAY 06, 2009 YOU'VE GOT RAIN! 05.062009 Memphis, TN Rain, wind, thunderstorms, trees, and flooding. Memphis experienced some; or all of these elements last night as heavy rains found ITS pouring skies over the Bluff City. The skies were full in wet drippings as storms punched them opened with heavy raining. There were some cases of flash flooding, and downed trees. Also, lightening strikes loaded the skies and loud thunderings. The raging storms approached around 2 a.m. this morning and continued until about 5 a.m. Fact is, there are more rainstorms expected to head thru Memphis, Mississippi and Arkansas. Power outages were reported in Montecello, and Stuttgart counties in Arkansas and power crews will be working today to restore power to many Arkansians. That's a delivery of Heap of Water!...but rains can be good. How's that? THE REIGN OF A MAYOR 05.05.2009 Southaven, MS Citizens of Southaven held their primary Mayor's election on Tuesday, May 05, 2009 and 69% of them voted for their present mayor once again. Greg Davis has served the term of mayor of Southaven for his third term and is headed to reign again in a fourth term. The Mayor defeated his opponent and once campaign employee, Mitch Wright. During his victory speech, at his campaign headquarters the mayor was quoted as stating: " Moving forward, being progressive to make us top of Mississippi; not just geographically." He has a rained on "Mitch's" parade...."but I'm sure he has an umbrella." Listen to all that rain... I did last night, but it was the thunderings that really woke us up! Rain, rain... pouring....down with ... POUNDING IN THE FACE 05.05.2009 Rogersville, TN A couple is charged with abusing their 8 year old son in Rogersville, TN when the youngster reported that his parents were hitting him to "toughen him up". Donald Mooney the father, and Linda Sue Mooney the step-mother admitted to hitting the boy but claimed their were only playing a game. The school nurse questioned the child about the bruises, which some were severe and reported the case to authorities. The couple has been charged with child abuse and facing a 5,000 bond. There's no "rain of fists" like ones that are full of abusive drops!.... KA.....BOOM! RUMBLE...RUMBLE...Let's get ready to RUMBLE! There's more rain coming...Better get ready...haven't you read the forecast.... "You've got rain!" I've sent you a few rain stories, and I'm showering you with down pours of thanks for reading them.
