Student Athlete: Virginia State's Sean McEnhimer

Posted By: MIISRAEL Bride on May 24, 2009 THE COLLEGE ARENA! HIGHLIGHTING BLACK STUDENT ATHLETES HOMERUN! It's collegiate baseball player Sean McEnhimer. Never heard of Sean? Let me tell you a few facts. Sean attends Virginia State Uninversity and has been named the second-team of Daktronics' All-Atlantic Region Baseball Team. The Datronic's teamed annouced on Wednesday, May 13th of their proud newest member. Sean is a Senior from Chesterfield, VA and has led the University of Viriginia Trojans with eight home runs and 49 batted in the past baseball season. Sean made the All-Alantic Second-Team as their designated hitter. Sean has added up 100 total bases which led the CIAA Baseball Tournament Championship. The Championship game with the Virginia Trojans and St. Augustine was played on April 18, 2009 at Whatley Colbert Field. WSSU MEN'S GOLFERS 23RD PGA MINORITY COLLEGIATE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP Winston Salem State University men's golf team featured close to 200 athletes from minority serving institutions students who attends any college or university. The Championship was held May 8-10, 2009. Represented were 38 colleges and universities. The PGA General Manager, Bob Baldassari was stated as saying " It's an honor to host the 2009 PGA Minority Golf Championship for it's 12th year." The invitational was opened to students who were African-American, Hispanic-American, Native or Alaskan-American and Pacific Island American. There was a Business Golf Career Expo which highligted 25 golf industries and associations which offered employment opportunities, media and trade.
