Do you care enough to question those who sag their pants, and disrespect themselves and others in public

Do you care enough to question those who sag their pants, and disrespect themselves and others in public

Sagging Pants, Video Vixens, Absentee Fathers-“It’s Not Too Late” to CHANGE from the heart of a Black Man!

Sagging pants with exposed underwear...beautiful video vixens gyrating on National TV...the lack of African-American fathers in homes...and the list goes on.
“We can air out our dirty laundry all day, but who will rise to the occasion and speak to the ills facing us in America,” hail Edwin Debiew, the author of the newly released book, “It’s Not Too Late: Dialogue from the Heart.”
In this compelling new book, his soul-burning words speak honestly and candidly to the social ills facing people of color:
sagging pants....video vixens...absentee fathers... family relationships
There is a crisis in our communities and how can we continue to ignore or deny the cold reality that America can be “in danger of losing whole generations to violence, prison, poverty and hopelessness?” Edwin Debiew, a federal agent, who grew up on the streets of New Orleans in a single family home with an absentee father, understands all too well the struggles a man of color experiences. “I very vividly remember as a teenager, being targeted by policemen in the famous French Quarter in a case of mistaken identity for a crime I did not commit and being unfairly beaten,” he explains.

But instead of becoming bitter, he became better and this incident inspired him to pursue a career in law enforcement.
“It’s Not Too Late” is a dialogue from the heart of one man’s journey to clear the path for the youth behind us. “If not properly educated or prepared for jobs, they are likely to face higher unemployment rates, time in jail and a darkening sense that life for them can only get worse.”
We see our children mimicking and dressing like inmates with their pants sagging down without truly understanding the implications of their actions. Recently, a famous rapper on National TV accepted a music award with his undergarments exposed. “Men of no age should cave in to this so call Hip Hop trend. The wearing of sagging pants came from inmates in the penal system. They were not allowed to have belts or shoe laces for the fear of killing themselves or someone else. It also plays to the fact that when a man wears his pants sagging, he’s really bragging that he is some other man’s b----, prison talk.”
“It’s Not Too Late” addresses the stereotypes of pretty young ladies, parading themselves as toy objects in rap videos. “Yes, they have pretty faces and great bodies, but they are poorly respected and will not be the girl taken home for marriage approval,” Debiew said. He encourages WOMEN AND GIRLS...STOP SELLING YOURSELVES SHORT!

Hey man, let me tell you something. You remind me of the attackers going after Dr. Cosby for his comments about children and their negative acts as they walk home from school. As for street analysis, as you so greatly stated, I have not found what you stated about darker "hue" (color) skinned folks in the East being the originators of sagging or loose pants. I have not looked either-because the starting point does not matter. The issue is trying to tell kids that this so called style or fad is disrepectful and degrading. I am not taking away from people from the East being the originators as you put it. One could argue the Jesus, Muhammad, and others walked around in large clothes. Don't try to pose a menial attack on my history of what my research and knowledge provided regarding sagging pants. Yes, I know about baggy pants, I had them and wore them, but you could never see my ass or underwear Mr. Easterling. Oh, and I am not a cop. I hear what you are saying about the lawsuit and the broader picture, and I do understand Mr. Easterling. And, I am from the streets-as if you are checking street credibility. I am done with you man for now. Oh, Hanibal, Askia, Imhotep, and others also wore baggie clothes, but I never saw their asses hanging out-such as with the younger kids today. I worked in the prison and I know what I saw, and I know the meanings from my work environment. If I get the slightest thought that you are attacking my history of loose fitting clothes, and not focusing on the appearance of the youth wearing sagging pants today, then you are on some other stuff. Keep up the good work in DC.
