Driver CDL/Utility Worker Positon at Milton Hershey School

Posted By: Jehan Bunch on June 15, 2009 Milton Hershey School is currently seeking a Driver CDL/Utility Worker. This position will be responsible for transporting students and adults to various activities (i.e., sporting events, educational and recreational field trips, work sites and locations throughout PA and surrounding states) ensuring the safety of passengers at all times. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, delivering goods and meals and other supplies, such as, clothing and furniture to the student homes and other facilities; delivering mail on campus; and performing other duties as assigned. THIS IS A FULL TIME 10-MONTH POSITION (42-46 weeks). The normal full-time schedule shall consist of forty (40) hours with a minimum of two (2) consecutive non-work days. Applicants must have flexible schedules to accommodate departmental needs, which includes working weekends. The starting pay for this position is $15.78, upon successful completion of one year of service, you will be subject to a pay increase. Requirements •High School Diploma/GED. •Class B CDL with a P & S and air brake endorsement. •One to three years school bus and/or truck driving experience. •Experience with and supervision of multi-aged students. •Ability to maintain a flexible schedule (1st & 2nd shift). •Ability to work and communicate with different age groups. •Ability to lift over 50 pounds. •Good organizational and written and oral communication skills.
