What's On My Mind

What
Posted By: Ashli Dean on June 15, 2009

After the big break, I really thought I couldn't take another day in this life. Knowing how much I put my all into it and into others period, I just got tired, and I still am. But I am very proud to say, I didn't give up. I kept on praying and trusting God that He is going to work this situation around for me. The devil has done everything in his power to keep me in depression, guilt, hurt, and tears. But God has my back!! I am doing so much better than I thought I would...I'm going to college, got my own car, working, and still keeping God first and moving forward in my life. I'm not going to lie, it's really lonely being single sometimes. No one to hold me, love me, and so forth. But I also have to remember, no man is my source, nor do I need a man. Because my Father is my source, He is my refuge, the one whom I need and the only one I'll ever need.

While I am being real with myself and God though, it has been very hard for me. I'm going through so much right now by myself, and I am continually speaking over myself and encouraging myself in the Lord. I've been trying so hard not to cry, but I can't help it. I'm so tired of these tears falling from my eyes and the loneliness and nights alone, searching for strength to carry on. I'm tired, and I'm worn. But I have always been known to be a strong woman of God, and I know I can make it through this difficult time in my life. The thoughts of being alone and by myself again, makes my heart hurt, because this life is no good alone. But I know that one day, on my Father's timing, He will send me someone, that knows he has found a good thing. And as I stay focused on Jesus, keep encouraging myself, and walking in that right path as I continue to keep my trust in Him...I long for that day to come...

Continue to keep the faith and be strong. You are doing the right thing. Wait for god.. That was one of my biggest mistakes in relationships. God will send you who he wants you to have, because what you want may not be good for you. Your father knows what he is doing. I am going on three years strong without a man and I am loving it. I am finding myself and realizing that I can do without one.. It's hard but find something to keep your mind of men.. I write and read motivational books to keep me uplifted. Be encouraged and keep the faith.
