A LITTLE SOUTHERN NEWS Issue No. 33 HEADLINES: SNACK! "CACKLE"...AND POP! Look! Everybody's getting ready fo' a grand time on the grounds. Unpack yo' snacks. Cassandra's even brought Cinnamon. What? That crazey dog! She'll run off wit yo' wigs and hair pieces if you don't watch her! I didn't forgit ...I was suppose to tell you another one of Cassandra's doggie stories Here's one she told me 'bout two weeks ago. Cinnamon was having her doggie bisness cycle and Cassandra didn't want her leavin spots every where she sat down. So what does Cassandra do? She goes to the store and buys her and her chullens a snack , and bag of baby diapers to put on Cinnamon!.....ny'ways...She said that every time she would put one of the diapers on her dog, that Cinnamon kept pullin them off, and ripping them up! She was so tide- up with Cinnamon rambongous ways! --Cassandra said she took a pair of her old short pants and pinned them on that dog real, real tight! She said Cinnamon was turning all kinds- of- ways to get those pants off!. She told me how Cinnamon was twisting her buttocks real fancy like when she'd walk by.....I just looked at Cassandra...and cackled like a old hen! I was about to pop! I tell you --I don't know who's the crazier? Cassandra or her dog Cinnamon!...or me? She told me another doggie story too, but ya'll I can't bare to laughin at this one first...Ya'll jus have to wait on that one til another time. Let's go celebrate the Forth of July! I don't thank Cinnamon will attend this event. THE STARLIGHT SPECTACULAR! JUNE 28, 2009 Bellevue Baptist Church MEMPHIS, TN Featuring: BIG DADDY WEAVE! TIME: 5:00-10 PM PRICE: FREE! FREE! FREE! Note: My source says....Ya'll need to Brang yo' own pinic baskets, blankets and what-nots!...but thar will be food vendors selling stuff ...so brang you some money! Ya'll gone on over and flock to the lawn of Bellevue Baptist for some patriotic music from the Bellevue Orchestra. Games for yo' chill'rens, foods,snacks and lots of pops with a firework show as the finale! You gits to snack, cackle, and see plenty of pops! "I' reckon..Big Daddy Weave best keep his weave away from Cassandra's dog!" "If you know what I mean!" WE ANIN'T THRU YET! HERNANDO PICNIC AND PARADE JULY 02, 2009 HERNADO, MISSISSIPPI This year Hernado Mississipians decided to make it's Independence Day geared just for the kids. So why not have them ride on they trikes! Ya'll read that right! Dress yo' chullens bikes, scooters, bicyles up in red,white and blue and brang them to town square to particpate in a bikers parade. This is a free event, and you'll get to taste a snack, have a cackle and pop! I don't know if they'll have fireworks, (This is A Little Southern News) , but you might see some real southern "hospitaility!"....The event starts at 6:30 p.m and ends around 9:30p.m. Miss Gussie Maes says: "I'm dressing up my trike in yeller! Just like my kin folk Randy is!" "I see dat' one day, I'm gone have ta' teach Miss Gussie Maes and Randy they colurs!" Look at us we's riding out of Mississppi on our bikes and travelin to the next place till we's biked our way on up and over to Where's dat elephant goin? He needs to return to the issue of ZING!.. ZANG!....ZOOM!...BOOM AND SCREAM! Oh well, he's excited because of the snacks! Bartlett FIREWORKS EXTRAVANGA! JULY 3, 2009 Bartlett, TN Find your way to Bobby K. Flaherty Municipal Center at Highway 79 and Appling Road and take on some live music, family stuff, food and a car show. There will be food vendors where ya'll we can get our snack on! Cackle at somethin, and see the pop with the fireworks beginning at 9:30p.m. "Hay Jen...you can brang yo' familie...We can have a cackle or two!" I'd liked dat very murch! Since we still in the old Tennessee country...let's get on our bikes again and ride on of to where the Collier's ville live at... COLLIERVILLE'S 24TH ANNUAL JULY CELEBRATION! July 3, 2009--Collierville, TN 6-9:30 p.m. Meet up there at H.W. Cox Park located at 350 W. Powell Road for intertainment, snacks, cackle games and fireworks that really pop! Uh ul....! Somebody done got sick! ....It's one of ya'll chaps! They done had too murch of a snack! She's smurking cause I almost step in that stuff!....What ya'll laughin at? The 11th ANNUAL FIRECRACKER 5K Run/Walk July 3, 2009 --Memphis TN at 7:00p.m The Racquet Club of Memphis is holding a 5K that pops firecrackers? Nawh! But, if you want to run to help some little cute varmits of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Sign up soon! Call the Racquet Club and find how you can be in that benefit race! Oops!....I've fallen...but ....I CAN GIT UP!! Git up all ya'lls! Lets and go two... THE RED WHITE AND BLUES CELEBRATION! TOM LEE PARK & PEABODY HOTEL MEMPHIS, TN Downtown Memphis will host it's annual fireworks celebration with snack, cackle and pop! Get up on the roof of the Peabody Hotel and get a big cackle with bird's eye view of the fireworks! The early bird gits the worms. This fun begins at 6-10pm and you gotts'to pay to stay. Ingram Hill will be playing the music! The admission to that is $20 bucks! But at Tom Lee you can enjoy the festivities free I bleeve! That early bird event starts at 2:00p.m and wraps up at 9:00 p.m. Brang yo' selves and yo' chicks on Downtown! Memphians loves ...Snacks, Cackle and Pop!...I'll take a good strong Coke-cola! Befo' ya'll lose yo' fizzle.... HERE'S YA'LLS TIP! At a social event.... It's befitting to sip your beverage from a straw, but slurping is considered: "absolutely rude and obsurbed!" I'd love to go to Hernando for the kids bicycle/tricycle parade, but I try my best to stay out of Mississippi.

Mississippi has beautiful places! Although I understand that strangers wouldn't want to be stranded on one of those back off roads, way back down in the country. Stick to the towns and cities is what I advice. Thanks Jen dear! Wishing you and yours a Happy 4th of July!
